So, I've taken the plunge, ordered a classic range you can see it here, well you can't as I can't like urls, but it's a RN402 I believe? from e-cigs.co.uk.
Now, I've had no manual come through with it, which makes it a little harder to know what I'm doing. I've worked out quite quickly which bit fits what, put a cartridge in and am charging one of the batteries.
two questions.
1. does anyone know how long to charge the battery for? Are they like phones in that charging too little first time will mess it up?
2. How does one smoke it?? Don't seem to see any buttons - do i just inhale when it's all connected?
Very noobish questions I realise, all help gratefully appreciated?

You can charge the batteries whenever you want without harming them.
And once the charger shows green instead of red they are ready.

As far as making it work, it sounds like your batteries do not have a little button to push.
That means they are automatic batteries and are activated by inhaling.

If you have automatic batteries it will probably take some practice to get it working good.

Stand in front of a mirror and watch the LED as you take drags.
You want to see how hard you need to draw on it to get that LED lit.
And you want to see how hard you need to draw on it to keep it lit as long as possible.

For some automatic batteries your only choice is to do consecutive short drags.
And it is often said that a quick short initial draw (primer puff) followed by a real drag will work well.

Most people recommend slower, longer draws.
I recommend getting a manual battery.

If there aren't any buttons then it has an internal switch and you simply suck on it to turn it on. The mirror suggestion is a good one! I put my hand up near the end and look for the reflected light. Long, slow, and soft drags are normally best. Draw into your mouth and then inhale - at least in the beginning. You will figure out what technique is best for your model in time.

Some people believe that the batteries need an initial charge but I personally don't. The new batteries don't have a memory like older ones did.

Good luck and welcome!
