So Cal
Jeaous. I just got a Provari after coveting it for about a year. Now I'm coveting a Reo. What would be an appropriate amount of time to wait before succumbing to the urge to buy a Reo? I mean, I don't want to hurt my Provari's feelings or anything.

Put the Provari to bed in a nice piece of silk, and get on Reos mods now.....the Provari won't even notice LOL

I know, I know...I felt the same way. But.....I haven't even tried my REO yet cuz I'm an idiot and can't wrap a coil till my stuff gets here tomorrow. So until I use it, squonk it and what have you, both my ProVari are still getting love.

ETA- I bought my first ProVari in Sept 2013 and the second one in Dec or Jan I think so they've had a lot of attention.

GIRL!!!!! Come on now!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!! There is such a thing as polygamy. One can be in love and married to two different mods. ;)

FINALLY built my own coil!!!! Glued to super x's YT vid, pause, rewind, play, pause.....but I did it! I was aiming for 1.1 ohm but missed the mark, a little

Filled my bottle w/some AVEs Gorilla Juice and WHAM! Crazy flavor and vapor. Next hit, slightly dry so def need to get the squonking down. But now I really feel official.

But quick question. What are these tiny black orings? That came with the bottles? I thought they were insulators and tried to put one in the cup area...no dice. Anyway, thanks again folks. Happy, happy gal.

ETA- UGH, these upside down uploaded pics are killing me. IPad and photobucket hate each other I guess, or just me. LOL. Coil came out at 1.0 ohm!!! 28ga Kanthal A1 used and I did 9.5 wraps on 16 ga luer

One o-ring should have come with the RM2. It goes around the connector in the drip well before you install the RM2.

If you got extra o-rings in with bottles then they would go in the bottle cap. You don't need them unless you find the installed o-ring becomes unusable.

Ok thanks! Yes I had one w/the RM2, slightly larger/thinner that I did place on the outside of the cup/connector. the little ones I got with all the extra bottles are smaller but thicker than that one. I figured they were for the bottles but the sheet that came with the REO with some instructions shows an insulator needs to go inside the cup? Kinda weird/confusing.

But it's working.

Congratulations! How does flavor compare to what you've been using?

I've only tried one so far and it tastes better than any other set up I have except maybe my Dripper Pro. I'm going to rewick that tho and do a side by side test and see. But I can't believe how much vapor comes out of this little thing! It's crazy!

ETA- it is a LOT easier building the coil on the RM2 than the ceramic cup tho. I bought magnified glasses thinking I wouldn't be able to see it like the ceramic cups, I never used the glasses.

Congratulations on your first REO vape, Angi :) And welcome to REOville, it's a happy place :)

Just FYI, the oring that goes in the catch cup (under the RM2) is not there to seal it or insulate it, it's to give you some wiggle room in lining up the RM2 air hole with your vaping "technique". The air intake on the side of the RM2 needs to be at the top when you're vaping, and the oring lets you adjust it. I have several REOs, and none of them are exactly the same, so I just adjust the air intake so it's either 1) facing the button, or 2) facing away from the fire button. Then hold it accordingly. That means on some of them, the RM2 is lower than the button (when I'm vaping), and on others it's above the fire button. Sometimes, it's on the side and I have to stand on one leg to vape (... or, I can hold it sideways) :)

Oh good, I thought I was the only one that did that! :)

AngiBe.........I just want to thank you for asking all the right questions and helping this REO newbie buy what I needed. I've been wanting a REO, but afraid of what I needed to order. Luckily we have similar tastes in what we like to do with vaping! I read every post in this thread and when I had a question, it was funny, because I would find that it would pop up later for you (especially the "not finding the right RM2 on the webpage" for the mini).

I'm now on the waiting train!!!!! And, on my way to being a REO owner! TY so, so much!!!

I am sooo excited for you!! If you get a green one with orange polka dots it's gonna look BA!! I agree with the spring advice. Hubs killed 3 springs in MINUTES thinking beading wire was the same thing... it's NOT!! lol

Like everyone else has said a VV REALLY isn't needed. I had a Zmax and while not near the quality of a provari I gave the Zmax away after getting my REO and honestly I wouldn't use anything else. I can drip when I feel like I want to try something else and it's really not a big deal. It's super easy to rinse the feed tube out if needed or just dry burn the coil and change the wick if you are using a non dry burnable wick like cotton. I really think you will be surprised at just how simple a REO is to use and the vape is freakin unbeatable!!
Nah, I'm ok. Black or silver, black and silver...I'm happy with any of those. Actually kind of fun to wait and see what the hell I ordered since I really don't know. Now if it gets here and it's green w/orange polka dots, not so much. At that point, I'd look for something to wrap it.

And yes, I can tell you're a satisfied vapor. If I knew how to make a gazillion of cool coils, I would be too!

AWE!!! So glad that my questions helped you!!! Same thing happend in the byLeo thread cuz I asked so many questions, others didn't need to. LOLOL

And yes, the web page to me was very confusing so I wasn't even sure what color I ordered but I knew it had black so I was ok. I'm VERY happy with it and I'm sure you will be too. I just need to tweak how much cotton I use and remember to squonk.

I'm use to a Dripper that holds like 5-8 drops and get around 8-10 vapes. This one I get around 3-4 and then it starts to taste burnt, fast. I'm also using KGD cotton and I know cotton can burn quick, plus a little bit lower ohms.

And even tho Ancient Puffer above describe in detail above the oring, I need to reread that cuz I can not see how this oring fits in the cup. I've tried a dozen times and it doesn't fit in there. LOLOL but it still works. Keep us all posted when it comes in and your thoughts. Hope you love it!
