No, you don't understand....the subtanks actually require MORE wattage.
Lol I don't understand then. All I did was recommend subtanks because I have 3. I run my .5 occs at 16 watts and get great flavor and vapor. Lol, what exactly are you trying to prove, I guess I truly don't understand.

So my point was, the subtank, as opposed to lots of other subohm tanks, requires a lot less wattage regardless of the resistance coil. You can't hit a subtank at 30 or more watts like many other subohm tanks basically require. So I'm suggesting that you get the same flavor and vapor out of a subtank between 15-20 watts, as you would out of something else at say 40 watts. Now my question to you is, do you understand.?

I was just offering a suggestion as to how the OP could extend his battery life on his VV/VW device with higher ohm coils. A sub-ohm tank has absolutely no advantages (besides the aforementioned better feeding, due only to the popularity of said tanks and the attention given to them by manufacturers due to high demand) on a VV/VW device.
That's just not true. If I Vape my .5 at 30 watts, I get a good, cool hit. If I use the 1.2 at the same 30 watts, yes the vapor is just as good, but the hit is way too hot and the flavor isn't nearly as good to me. It's all a matter of opinion. So please, don't state yours like its a fact.

That's cool. I was just suggesting answers to the op question. More vapor production along with flavor are things I consider advantages. Guess those aren't in your opinion

Thanks guys...y'know, this used to be a pretty friendly place back in the day.

I will admit, I'm not all that up on the "new gear" but I'm getting there (however, I do know Ohm's Law ;) ). I was away from ECF for quite a few months because I'd found what worked for me, then I tried a friends sub-ohm tank and said to myself, "hey, there's some new interesting stuff out there". I came back to ECF to see what was up....come to find that the new folks aren't as friendly.

I'm out.

Dude it's not even like that. You came at me about something that YOU misunderstood so I got defensive and proved my point. In the meantime I noticed that there were a couple other posters that were getting into an argument with you about whatever else. I love you bro. Internet hugs.

The thing is you posted something completely unrelated to the op . You acted quite superior "just sayin " . So I explain why your comment was wrong. Then you continued to argue a point that nobody but you were talking about so I put you in your place. Now crying about it won't help. I'm not a bad guy. You new what you were doing. Use ohms law or any other law and explain how my comments are wrong. When commenting stick to the op and this stuff won't happen. I'm not apologizing because I don't need to but I meant no ill will

Sorry, but YETI makes a better cooler than all of you.

I dont want to reread it, so I may have it wrong. The idea of the 1.2 ohm occ head working as good as the .5 ..... I dont think he meant both at 30w. At least I hope that's not what he meant. I can't get a good vape at 30w with a .5 occ unless I push a pin through the coil to open up the wick a little. 15-18w should be good for the 1.2.
With stock occ heads, I like around 22w with the .5 and 16 or so with the 1.2. But I use pretty thick juice. I'd have to agree that, to me, both heads can perform very similar but not at the same power.

But what do I know? Theres a reo glued to my hand 99% of the time! I do like the sub tanks though.

Well again I was talking predominantly about a Herakles. With it's .6 you can take it to 100 watts without modifying it. While it's .2 coil is maxed out at 75 watts,. Monkey see , monkey do. I don't know why I'd rather die than be cool lol
The cool thing about being a vaper right now is we can do it however we want to. I like it all.
