Live Chat Issues

I can't join the live chat. Whenever I type /join #ecf it tells me that I am banned from the channel #ecf. There is no reason that I know of that I should be banned (unless it's just because I've been inactive for so long?). Anybody have some insight for me?

Your nick was never registered with nickserv per our PM conversation back in October.
