I'm bringing up the thread because the eagles are back working on the nest for this year, and D1, one of last year's babies has returned to the region . they banded her, and have a map of her 700 mile travels since she left the nest Google Maps

I guess I lived in a cave (ok so I live in a cave lol) but I didn't see this last year.

Are they suppose to come back and hatch again in the same nest?

Yeah The same eagles use the same nest every year- this pair has been toether for 3 or 4 years and the nest has a live webcam, so we got to watch the babies hatch, fledge and fly away. It was pretty amazing.
