Just found out tonight that our local ABC channel will be doing a segment on e-cigs tomorrow night on their 11:00 PM news.(PST) From the promos it sounds like it will not be in a positive light. I hope I am wrong, but this would not surprise me. I 've only been vaping a month, but I am really tired of all of the misinformation that the uninformed have been putting out there.
It will be on ABC30.com out of Fresno, CA so maybe some of you can check it out on their website after its broadcast.

I doubt that any news report would be positive when it comes to e-cigs. For some reason, news stations feel that if you cannot shock and scare the hell out of people, the report is not news worthy.
I would imagine that the report will stress the fact that we are all inhaling the "main ingredient in anti-freeze" that seems to be the way that most news stations tell us about these shocking new devices. And I'm sure they just wont be able to resist telling you that e-cigs are going to attract your children to vaping and get them addicted to nicotine.
Of course they will fail to mention that the martini they are going to suck down later contains the main ingredient in E85 gasoline, but I guess thats ok because it gives them a good buzz. :)

Anyway, let us know what they say.

Our local news channel (NBC) did a story on e-cigs this evening and gave a very positive spin to it. They interviewed an MD who stated that he would rather see people using the ecig than smoking the "more than 4000 chemicals found in an ordinary cigarette." They also interviewed some guy from a lung association who stated that "until the FDA approves them, they should not be sold, BUT...if they do approve them, then it would be all right." (Not an exact quote). It was refreshing (and a little surprising) to see that at least some news stories are not so negative. They even disputed the story about smoking anti-freeze ingredients. HURRAY!!! Let's hope for more of this type of publicity.
