First off, if I placed this in the wrong spot, I'm sorry.

I want to buy kits for my financially challanged friends & family. Ok, so I'd basically be buying them kits then it's up to them to finance their new vape habit with their analog budget. No, I won't force them on anyone but I'd have them on hand for those that want to give it an honest shot.
Do you think this is a good idea?

I'm thinking of getting the KR808D-1's because that's what I have, there's only 2 parts, and carts come in many yummy flavors and can be refilled easily. The 501 is my second choice because I've seen it so much on here.
Is this a good starter?

I might be limited on how many flavors I can get in cartomizers. Most of my friends use regular flavored analogs but some use menthol. I'm thinking at least 50% tobacco flavored, non-brand specific.
What would be your top 3 flavors? yes, you can give me non-traditional ideas too.

Is there anything I might have forgotten?

Thank you in advance for you help on this.
Thank you for your help on this.

If you're thinking of getting the 510 with cartomizers I can help you with juice. But those kits I think are more for someone who is really ready to get into it..That is, they're too expensive to end up in a drawer unused somewhere.

My suggestion, is to invest in a bunch of disposables. This is what a lot of people around here do. Then you can just hand them a disposable one and write up some index cards with important links. Tell them if they like it, where they can go to get a starter kit. List the benefits of each one and just generally educate them.

But trying to convert several people with a full k4808d-1 or Joye 510 kit is going to get expensive. And who cares if a disposable ends up living in a drawer, right? :2c:

For someone who wants to try, an auto XL battery or two with a carto can let them figure if it has potential. If it does for that person, then a kit from V4L or NHaler comes in pretty fast.

Classifieds have 808 batteries pop up periodically.

Add a spare charger and wall transformer and you have a full loaner/test kit, though a single XL battery, fully charged, is likely enough to let them see the potential. If the person likes it, get the new kit, and if not just get the loaner set back and try with another person.

In a V4L vein, their Nuport 24 mg cartos are supposed to be pretty decent, likely appropriate for current smokers. I liked their Kamel nobacco up front, and they likely have a decent Marlboro-like flavor. NHaler has a good Marlboro taste tobacco, too.

With anything new, don't forget NHaler's 10% off code (saveinnj), or vapor4life's (smilin), and V4L often has higher %-off sales.

Sallana, thanks for all the links. I'll have to check those out and see if they've still got them when my money comes in. The disposable is a good idea, especially since they're getting them for free. From what I've read, most people either like PV's or they don't within the first 24 hours.

Markfm, thanks for reminding me to use the codes! I sometimes forget those little details.

Yes, even if the disposables aren't what you would call.. satisfying or good.. They will give your friends/family a good idea of whether or not they would like an e-cigarette. I know, because I started with a Blu Cig.. and even though it sucked, I instantly knew that it would work for me. By the time I figured out that it sucked, I went and got a joye 510. So yeah, it will give them a good idea. Doesn't really matter how crappy the e-cig is if its just introductory :)
