I'm going to buy a very large quantity of 6% nicotine unflavored juice.
I plan to freeze it for long term storage.

I can get VG or PG as the base, which would be better and why.
I would rather use VG as I have a very good local source for PG.

Is it really necessary to use glass bottle, and why?
If glass is used where is a good source for the bottles?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer these questions.

Glass is good because it has very low reaction with eliquids -- you don't get leaching of any kind, no etching.

For long term storage, you want the bottles filled up most of the way, minimize the air in a bottle, and you want to make sure the cap is well sealed. It wouldn't hurt to add a piece of electrical tape or similar around the cap.

Here's a decent thread on bottles: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ssion/296537-plastic-bottles-e-liquid-17.html Take a look up at posts 158 & 161 for a few background articles on PET plastic (I get mine from US Plastics, 2 ounce and 4 ounce, just need to remember to order the caps from there separately), then up at posts 214-215 you'll get references to a few glass bottle sources.

I haven't bothered with a real long-term stash, but if I did I would likely use glass if the vendor shipped in it, else PET if the vendor had shipped in a soft plastic bottle. Get the bottles mostly full, cap, maybe tape, then put in a ziploc.

Do a search in the forum for the 3 terms "nicotine freezer storage" for multiple prior threads, for instance http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/379552-long-term-unflavored-nic-storage.html
