Question to the people who've been DIY mixing for some time. Do you settle down and just keep on re-mixing your favorites or do you keep on experimenting with new mixes?

I haven't been at this very long, but ever since I made one really good DIY, I've been less motivated to try new things. But I have a whole box full of little WL/TFA vials that I don't want to go to waste either.

Ive found that as I become a more proficient mixologist I still learn just as much if I expiriment. For me it has helped greatly to refine stand alone flavors. With that knowledge Ive been able to anticipate how to mix multiple flavors together, and how they may end up tasting, even before I mix them together. At this point my imagination is pretty much spot on. I have very few failures, and when I do I end up telling myself "I told you so. You knew better than to mix X and Y with Z".

I have standard recipes that I always have on hand and mix large batches maybe one a month now. When im on the hunt for, or refining a new recipe, I have one dram glass vials to work with so I can make a bunch of variations in one sitting and nail down percentages. Quick, easy, painless.

As far as what I make vs. premade juice... I laugh at vendors. I have yet to try a juice better than what I make at home. Not that I dont try vendor juice, but I end up PIF because I just cant vape sub par juice. Im a juice snob I guess. Its not just the vendors in Buffalo either than are horrible. I tried some Mad Murdoch stuff this week and it was just a sad sad experience. I couldnt believe people pay $20 or more for 30ml of swill and then rave and rave about how great it is.

If people only knew what DIY'ers know.... their experience/satisfaction level vaping would be stellar. Sorry, I ranted a bit! lol

Since I have developed several ADV recipes, I must admit that my motivational level has waned.

BUT, I do, on occasions ,try to concoct a new winner. I just find that my desire isn't as strong as my impatience. Ergo, I must 'force' myself to go into da lab mode.

Regardless, I'm absolutely convinced that DIY is superior to pre-mixes. That's not even ¢ounting the $aving$. My DIY cost less than a nickle per ml!

There is only one vendor juice I will spoil myself with, and that's Boba's Bounty. I find that I can even replicate, (close enough anyways), many of Ben's other juices I've enjoyed, and I believe mine are better :D

OT: Personally, I have a set of about 3 juices that I consistently vape on the regular. I never really go long without my, "I've made something" recipe, which is just a mixture of Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Cinnamon Danish, Coconut, and Hot Cocoa. I also enjoy a 50/50 of two blueberries that I adore.

As far as continuing to experiment - I suppose I would, but I'm almost always broke :) I only work one day a week, and after 3 long, grueling years, I'm finally about to graduate. That equates to more money, which in turn means more flavorings to be purchased. There's nothing wrong with going either way. If you're happy with what you have, stick with it. If you feel like you're good, but wish to try new things on the regular, more power to ya! The end goal is the same, enjoy nicotine without exposing yourself to very well known deadly compositions.

I experimented alot the first year. The 2nd year I just stick with the tried and true with some variations. I imagine there are DIYers who invest alot of time into trying out new things and yes I have but I think the creativity level comes in fits and spurts after a long time at it. I am not trying to outdo myself anymore---just make a reasonably tastey juice.

I'm in the same boat as you but I have been doing this for a while.
2 years ago I found a couple I really liked as just sort of stuck to that.
Now I have a big box of 2 year old flavoring I never got around to playing with.
I'm trying to experiment with some of them now. I got bored with my 2 flavors.
