Well - I've had an account here for 6 months and usually just lurk. I've gleaned a ton of useful information here. Now I'm trying to post some questions, etc... and realized that I'm locked out from doing that until I've made 5 posts here.

So... 1 of 5. Not really sure what else to say :)

Well, you could tell us what you are using and how it's working for you. You can also ask your questions here. Have you completely given up smoking?

Sure. Well - been off analogs for 8 months. I have several PVs by now: A Smoketech V3, a couple telescoping manual mods, one with a kick, and I just received a new Just GG in Brass that I'm really loving.

I'm mainly a dripper and I'm still torn between mechanical mods and VW.

Welcome! How about a vaping story about how it all happened for you. I always love a good vaping story! Plus, you are from FoCo. So I automatically love you. Just moved from Fort Fun and miss it dearly. :)

Yeah, the Fort's awesome. Lived here 20 years ago, and moved back 3 years ago. Very happy to be back.

As for a story... well I use to roll my own. I'm an old hippy, and living in CO, so I wouldn't say that my blends were always 100% tobacco. But through the years, it was killing my lungs - and I was looking for an alternative to tobacco. e-cigs to the rescue.

Started with a mechanical mod that I eventually melted due to a short in the atty, and my own ignorance. That's when I found this forum, and have since learned everything that I should have known to begin with.

I've been off tobacco for 8 months, except I tried to smoke a regular cigarette a few weeks back, and man, did it taste awful! So, no more love there and I'm glad about that. I have a ton of loose leaf tobacco that I have not yet tossed, but I may as well - I can't ever see my self using it again. Couldn't be happier about that.

I also got into mixing my own juice blends. I was a chemist in a previous life, so that sort of thing appeals to me.

Ordered several flavorings, and have played with various different ratios of PG to VG (I prefer a 70-30 VG to PG ratio). I make one hell of a tasty vanilla-caramel-chocolate flavor, and usually mix a 12% nicotine juice.

I've also played with mixing in other herbal ingredients, and have been quite happy with the results. Except that sometimes clogs my attys. This is why I'm mainly a dripper, as I'm always playing with different juices, flavors, etc...

Hi Glav (and all), new to posting here too. Like you, I have been lurking for a bit now, though not as long as you have. I tend to read a lot and absorb info, but rarely feel the need to chime in with my own thoughts.

This is an amazing community and a whole new world for me with an amazing array of electronic/mechanical devices that have hit me full force and head on. lol Stopped smoking the first day I started vaping, been over 5 weeks now. Anyways, just wanted to say Hey. :)

Yeah - same with me. There are so many experienced users on here that offer good advice that I've never had anything else to offer. Always just felt I'd be spamming the threads with nothing much to add to the discussions - hence why I've always lurked.

Anyway, Hi all... finally :vapor:

That's great! Yeah, when I switched to vaping I never went back, except for my recent "test" with a cigarette. Was glad to find it so distasteful.

And also, I'm the same with lurking - there are so many experienced people on this forum that I've never had anything of value to add to the discussions - it just felt like I would have been spamming the threads with not much extra knowledge to offer.

Thanks Ramjet, great avatar btw. If it's a "club" then where the heck is the cocktail waitress? (errr /waiter) hate to stereotype lol

Yeah.. me too Glav.. I always think I know a lot, then I start reading and find out I might as well take my insignificant speck of knowledge and go home and sob.. heh

Seriously though the amount of vaping hobbyists/maniacs (in a good way) on the ECF forums just boggles my mind.
Loves me some vaping maniacs...

Yes mechanical unregulated takes a bit more to get right, but once you have it, it's pretty hard to beat. There's a lot to be said for VW too.

You know have your required number of posts. If the permissions haven't haven't updated for you leave it a while and try again.

Yep - I'm all good now. Thanks.

Belated welcome lurkers Glav and Utew! :vapor:

And a belated Thank You to everyone on this forum that I've learned so much from. Great site!
