It's interesting how that seems to be pretty common. I wonder if that has something to do with our bodies being purged of the 4,000 odd chemicals in cigarettes, and now all we have is the nicotine and the puffing habit....?

Or maybe, just maybe, nicotine alone, without all those other alkaloids present in cigarette smoke, is not all that addictive after all. ;)

I can definitely see that, even without a scientific study. I'm definitely dependent on nicotine and the puffing habit, but if I go without, I don't get the "gotta have a smoke" jitters and grumpiness.

No doubt. I'd also have to say that nicotine delivery is less efficient than with analogs, which likely decreases dependency over time.

I get breaks at work, and I sleep an average of 6 hours a night. So I'd say the longest I've gone without a vape is about 8 straight hours, which is when I take a bus to Boston (factoring in a bus switch in NY, and the unreliability of the Peter Pan bus, it comes to about 8 hours). One time my bus got stuck in rush hour near Framingham and I think it took a total of 9 hours. Then I have to wait for my girlfriend to pick me up... and anyone who's sat outside of South Station will understand why I don't pull out a 200+ mod and a 100+ atomizer.

Needless to say, I drive my own car to Massachusetts now. :)

I get there in 6 hours and I get to fog up all of Connecticut!

i'd only been a social smoker, albeit for 25 years. when i started vaping i was only vaping on the weekends. as i got into it i vaped every day after work and all day on weekends. i recently reverted back to vaping only on social occasions and almost never while just sitting home alone. ...so i can go at least six days without a vape.

I'm an all day vaper, I vape at my desk at work... So the longest I've gone without vaping is when I'm sleeping... lol

My job is physically demanding so i dont get to vape at work, but i pretty much vape the rest of the day. If im sitting at home i go like 10-15 minutes in between my usual 4-5 puffs.

I went two days when my mod broke I have to say I was surprised it was as easy as it was I mean I was annoyed I couldn't vape but it didn't have a really adverse effect which to me is further proof that vapeing is not adictive and truly helped with my cigarette addiction

I went through a similar situation a couple years ago. My mod wasnt broke... I was haha. I didnt have the funds to keep up with it and it wasnt all that bad stopping for a few months.

Katya, I think you hit the nail on the head. I need the other tobacco alkaloids. I can go days/weeks without vaping, as long as I have my 4-5 potions of snus. The longest I can recall was a week and a half. I just was going out and decided to take my e Cig or it would have been longer.

Saying that, I got a RDA recently and I'm baking a lot for me, maybe 3 ml per week.

There is a lot in cigarettes that made me want to smoke 2-3 PAD when I smoked that I no longer feel.

I vape all day but tend to take roughly 10 puffs and sit it down for a half hour or so, kind of like when I smoked. I can definitely tell the difference as I don't get all belligerent when I don't vape, I really don't notice it when I can't. It seems that the soccer moms have invaded Disneyland as of late and I get harassed a bit more now a days so I either don't do it or wait until I happen to pass a zone of banishment. What the hell am I paying this mouse $1,500.00 a year for!!!

About 6 hours straight once.. Never woke up to take a vape that I recall!!

Seriously, about 8 hours, twice, while doing a couple of medical procedures... It was a pain in the .....
The procedures were.. I had no problems not vaping.. even though I wanted to!
With my old habit, 2 hours and I would have been biting nurses (and not in the good way!!!).

I now have an answer for this! I somehow got some crazy virus and laryngitis at the same time this past week, I didn't vape from Monday through Wednesday b/c my throat was killing me and I was sleeping so much, when I was awake I wanted to, but any time I would even try to, it was NOT good! It still doesn't taste right, nothing tastes right at the moment and that sucks b/c I got 2 new flavors Sunday (right before I got sick) so I still have NO clue what they taste like!

I'm so glad I'm back on here lol, I was having some serious ECF withdraws (this is the first time I've been on ANY website since LAST Friday)!

I saw a thread somewhere on here mentioning puting your pv on the kitchen table & not touching it,so I decided to try it,24 hours without vaping.I was suprised that compared to trying to stop smoking it was quite easy,however,90 mL of juice arrived in the post the next day & well....you can't just throw money away can you?:)
