I am looking for a small mechanical mod that will fit a 18350 battery. This will be my first mechanical and I don't really plan to do any sub ohm vaping, maybe a 1 ohm coil at the lowest. I've been vaping for a few years now and never really wanted a mechanical because battery issues always worried me and I like the bells and whistles on regulated devices. But I would really like something small and sleek that will look flush with my Kayfun nano, so I'd prefer something that has a similar finish and diameter to it, and probably flat top as well. I don't know much about kicks, but they do add some more safety as far as battery, shorts, and coils go, right? Do any mechanical mods COME with a kick? Or do I have to install it myself? Either way, I guess it doesn't have to have a kick but if such device exists, I'd like to know about it. Telescopic and clones are ok with me! I'm looking to spend under $100. Thanks!

A kick plus a 18350 battery is the same size as a 18500 battery since the kick is 15mm long. So any mechanical mod made for a 18500 will do what you want. As will any 18350 / 18500 / 18650 mod. What can be difficult is finding one that will accept kick plus 18650.

Ok forget about the kick. I want the compact 18350 size and if the kick will make it a bit larger then I think I can live without it. I think I would also prefer something with a side firing button as opposed to the bottom button. My friend has a Kamry and I always found it a little awkward to fire it from the bottom. But that's not a necessity, just a preference. I know the Nemesis and Caravella mods in 18350 look pretty nice with a Kayfun. What about the Youde mod? I'm searching all over the place and the Nemy and Caravella are the only ones I see consistently that looks flush with a Kayfun.

Not to sound too much like a ft fanboy but they also have a nemesis hybrid kit that eliminates the top cap and let's you mount a kayfun flush for an even shorter mod.

Ok, I've been doing a little research here on the forums and I think I've narrowed down what I really want.

I don't really need another VV/VW device, I recently got an Evic and ordered a Hana clone and rotate my iTaste VV3 and MVP all day. I don't own any mechanical mods and the primary reason I want one is well... to have one and try it out and further my RBA interests, as well having a SMALL compact mod. I don't care if the battery life is bad in 18350 mode because I am not a heavy vaper and do not do sub ohm vaping.

I think I am leaning towards the Nemesis in 18350 mode because it does look quite nice with a Kayfun. However, I do have a few other interests in mind so I am not sure. For one, I am not a fan of the bottom firing button. It is not a deal breaker, but I think I would prefer a side fire, although I do find the bottom fire button mods more attractive. Second, a telescopic mod would be very versatile, as I have a 18650 battery that came with my Evic that I am not using because my Evic is also in 18350 mode.

So right now I am thinking a Nemesis, GG Paps, Atom, 4Nine, Dingo, or Caravela, all of course in 18350 if applicable. I don't know much about mechs or the differences between them, I suppose everything is mostly aesthetic since the function is the same? Also, I want to know more about the kick, if I have a telescoping mod, I can fit a kick in it right? A kick will make the mech mod more safe to use and prevent firing if short is detected? I am having a very hard time deciding because there are so many options and mods out there and I know so little!!

Something the size of these setups would be ideal, with or without a side firing button.
