Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a 5volt or higher mod (or VV) that is either cylinder shaped or classy looking. This is a gift for my husband and he thinks most box mods look 'clunky' except for the wood boxes, which are far to expensive. Variable voltage would actually probably be best, and i'm looking for good prices. 70$ or under would be best.

If I may suggest, look for a mod that does 3.7 up to 6v or higher. Different attys at different voltages taste diff. Alot of juices will taste better at 3.7, some at 6v, etc. Also nic in the juice is critical to what you want out of it. A lot of variables at play here. Make sure whatever you buy to read as many reviews and comments on it that you can.

I own a bumble bee, which is a 5 volt pass through from madvapes. Love it, its great, but i'm a stay at home wife so its fine for me to be stuck to the wall. At 5 volt i really enjoy the flavors of coffee and mint/cinnamon..they come through more strongly then on my ego. I want something for him that he can take to work, that is not big and bulky and be adjusted based on the juice he's using. He typically vapes coffee, chocolate mint, vanilla black licorish etc. I think all those flavors would really come through at higher voltage.

The ones i'm looking at right now are the Maxi roughstack v2 (he hates the button on my bumble bee tho and the roughstack sports the same button), or a 5volt bottom feeder from old goat..But if anyone has any others they can suggest that'd be great.

About the only VV mod that looks a bit classy and that's in your price range is the Little Sister Variable Voltage. Even though it's considered a boxmod it doesn't really look like one, it looks more like a lighter.

If you don't like the looks of the LS you could try a tube mod such as the Maxi Roughstack V2 from Madvapes. It'll do 3.7v, 6v, or 7.4v by using different types of batteries. It's cheap too, but not the classiest looking mod. You could "customize" it for him though.

Be sure to order batteries and a charger too. Personally I like having at least 3 batteries on hand, a pair an' a spare. You never know when one is gonna up and kick the bucket on ya. It may just be my opinion but I don't think the 3000mah 18650's are worth the extra cost. The 2400mah ones will last all day and are a few $$$ less. I've got both types and wouldn't bother with the 3000mah ones again.
