Hey guys.

I'm new to the forum and I've been using e-cigs for about three weeks. I've been using Nicolites High 16mg, but they're a bit pricey for me being out of work for the past couple of months, and I'm using 3 carts at £6.95 every 2 to 3 days, which is a lot pricier than the Gold Life rolling tobacco that lasted me for about 5 days at half the price. What alternative is there that would be more cost efficient for me?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)

Hello! I'm relatively new to vaping as well, and judging by your price points, I'd assume you are buying pre-filled cartridges or the packaged pre filled e-cigs. Although a good starting point to start using ecigs over actual cigarettes, they can be expencive. Unfortunately, there are many options to try, and it really depends on personal prefference. I'd recomend purchasing an inexpensive refillable e-cig with a sealed manual battery, along with purchasing e-liquid. A manual battery is one that you press a button and then inhale the vapor. A sealed battery offeres some protection from your liquid getting into the inside and causing damage.

On my batteries, I have tanks with wicks that draw the liquid into where it is vaporized. I find they are easy to fill and clean, and don't leak very often.

Cartomizers work too, but I've had issues with them leaking if I overfill them, because they are filled with sortof a cotton that needs to be wet, or it burns and ruins the taste. Some people swear by them though, and i'm sure with practice, you'd be a seasoned vet in no time. They are relatively inexpencive.

Atomizers are the same principal, but the burning element and the cotton are in 2 pieces. The benifit to an atomizer is that you can remove the cotton and drip a drop or two directly on the bridge (the part that heats up) which will absorb a drop or two of eliquid. This allows you to change liquids without having to go through cleaning your tank or caromizer. It makes it a little quicker and less wasteful to test multiple different e-liquids.

I've found that this forum site is spectacular for answering questions, and wish you luck finding what works for you.

-A simple APV with semi-regulated voltage like the E-Power 14650 gives you great bang for the buck. Yes, the E-Power is Chinese. 3.7V, uses big-flavor, big-TH LR XL cartos, rechargeable ICR 1050 mAh battery that cost less than $4 apiece and the dang thing (in stainless steel) is pocket-sized and nearly indestructible. Low battery indicator, short circuit and overload protection and 5-click switch safety included.

-DIY liquid, by all means. It pays to learn how to DIY. It saves you big money in a very short amount of time. My DIY juice costs 13 cents per ml, and I know what's in it.
