I want to find a cigalike with a PCC, but something with a universal thread (preferably 510 so the cartos could fit my eGo in a pinch). Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to avoid companies that are nothing more than clever advertisers (Blu, V2, Greensmoke, etc.), but I'm also open to hearing honest opinions on anything that you personally find to work well.

I've been vaping for around 2 years. Have had multiple devices, ranging from the cheap disposables to full size VV light saber units (which I'm not a fan of and don't understand their popularity).

I'm at the point where I no longer "need" to vape (most of my juices are nicotine free), but I still like the security blanket that comes with having an ecig on hand at all times. I'm currently using the eRoll and the Blu starter kit (don't judge me lol), but the Blu takes way to much priming and the eRoll is just a messy/sticky/leaking joke that works amazing (when it doesn't burn up new atomizers within an hour).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Why not just go with an original Joye 510? Unless you're wanting vv or something, which I don't know if it exists in a cigalike, it's an old tried and true classic. A pcc is available and replacement parts are relatively inexpensive.

The Joye 510 is regulated at 3.2 or 3.4v so don't have less kick than some others out there. The ones that have the most punch are in 808 and they would be Migs for manual an V4L for automatics.

I appreciate the suggestions, but all my units are 510 (besides the eRoll), so I'm hoping to stay with that thread.

That's the one I've been eyeballing, but that thing came out like 4 or 5 years ago, I was hoping to find something with newer technology.

The eRoll has been the best cigalike I've used thus far, but it's just to messy and it's just not practical to have extra cartridges prefilled (no where to store within the PCC, liquid leaks out even when capped, have to carry a bottle with a needle tip or one of those metal keychain bottles). I'm at the point where I just want something easy, practical and portable. First world problems ;)

Pick up a pack of Ce3's. They work great on the Blu batteries that you already have... (they do look ugly though...)

CE3 Cartomizer - Elite Bottom Coil CE3 Cartomizer - AltSmoke $10 for a 5-pack

I used them as a stealth device when I first started vaping and they produced vapor and flavor nearly as good as my Evod kit.

A member here named JOHHHN (don't know how many "H"s) was messing around with batteries and carts, and I think he ended up with a V4L Vapor Titan with an LR Ikenvape cartridge. Might give them a shot, or just buy basic cartridges and juice.

He says that combo out performs any cigalike he has tried, and he's tried hundreds (believe me.).

Edited: Oops, sorry that one's an 808D

Edited to add: He had an eroll and was one of the few people I've seen who absolutely HATED it. I loved mine, but haven't used it in a while.

I appreciate everyone's feedback so far! Anyone else care to chime in? I bought some empty generic cartomizers from a local vale shop and the Blus are working better, but still require primer puffs and long draws. I have another week before my product return window expires and I'm hoping I find a solution by then or it's back to the messy eRoll :\

Well, I don't have a suggestion as to what to get since you said no eroll. I love Eroll so that's the cigalike I'd suggest to anyone.

HST, I also wanted a 510 cigalike type kit so I bought some 510s & a pcc for them. I absolutely HATED the 510s. They were so weak it was nothing but frustrating. I don't know if they make pccs for the mega 510s but if so that might be a better move for you if you really want to go that route. That's all I got. I'm sure others have suggestion but I just wanted to throw that out there so you can hopefully avoid wasting some money doing what I did.

edit: you commented at the same time as me so I just now read your post & noticed your problems with the "messy eroll."

If i might give some suggestions that might make it less messy for you: I don't know how you use it currently, but I have found it best to have a little container with 4-6 prefilled cartridges with the eroll. When one is empty, I replace it with another & leave the empty one in the little case with the cap off. I let them air out that way until they're all empty & then I refill them all at the same time. I found that if you refill the cartridges right away they have condensation build up & become messy in the pcc. Doing it this way I've had pretty much no leaking or messiness in the pcc. I just need to clean the little cartridge case out every so often.

edit again: I just read another post of yours saying you thought it inconvenient to carry the cartridges with you. A tic tac or mini altoids container is a perfect carrying the cartridges in. Myself, I use a carto container I bought for carrying cartos (but I don't use them & didn't want to waste the case lol) but either of the other suggestions will work equally well.

Thanks for the tips. I'm probably just going to stick with the eRoll, it seems to be the best solution (without going to ego sized options). I'm guessing there is a reason that no advancements for 510s has happened in the last few years and my goal of a satisfying cigalike with cartos is not (currently) realistic. I just thought I'd ask ECF before caving and going back to the eRoll.

Joyetech e-Roll Dual Carrying Case

This is getting really close, I wonder if I can fit three prefilled carts in that slot?

You can not. AND what's worse is you can not fit any of the carts with the cap on. It's kinda messy imo. If you want the case to carry an extra set up then it's useful I guess. Not very useful for carrying the carts though.

If I had found something I thought was as good I'd definitely be sharing with you. I'm a fan of cigalikes myself but you're right that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of advancement for that particular form. I wish the 510s had worked for me as I also want to be able to use cartos with egos & cigalikes without having to use some dumb adapter. But it just didn't do it for me at all.

The only people who would "judge" you are those who haven't tried or given the Eroll a chance. Mine is loaded with 36mg hard hitting TH juice and every smoker/vaper who's taken a hit off it has had a cough attack. Just cause its small doesn't mean it doesn't hit as hard as any other 3.7 with an excellent super-performing LR atty... regulated from first puff to last which is sure better than my pricey mechanical. I've also found it better than many 3.7 volt bigger batts I've tried which only has to do with charge time. I guess its a kinda "don't judge a book by its cover" thing or "good things come in small packages." It broke me of my last smokes when my bigger setups didn't.

There's a very common hard carrying case that's perfect for it that measures about 2 inch by 4 inch by half inch; fits nicely in pocket.
