Hi everyone, its been quite a long time since i've posted on here;however, im looking to getting back into the E-Cig world. I have had a regular 510, and a box mod, however both are long gone/broke... I am looking into getting a Roughstack from madvapes, but I am curious as to what other new affordable mods are out now days. It does need to be affordable. around 40 is as much as id like to spend for the device its self, since ill have to rebuy batteries, atomizers, etc etc etc... but the roughstack seems like a pretty good mod, and i liked vaping at 3.7 volts.

Im open to any advice or suggestions...

Also i may add, at the moment i am not able to make my own box mod, i am in college and i have zero tools with me.

Thanks! I appreciate it!

MadVapes also sells their new versions of the Blue Lightning and Gold Rush Acrylic Tube Mods. Both are beautifully made and very dependable. The new models have a vented metal end cap and are worth checking out at $45.99 each. You, of course, can't go wrong with any of the RoughStacks. There are plenty of other great mods out there but you will spend a premium for them in comparison.

IMO cheap and dependable are incompatible. But, if you want something that will be a good bang for your buck then Old Goat has a cheap bottom feeder for 40 bucks.

The reason why I suggest a bottom feeder is that it will be less of a hassle. Just fill up the bottle, put on the atomizer or cartomizer, and your good to go for a while. 14500 batts should be good for about 6 hrs.

I have a ScrewDriver MKII. It takes a 18350 battery, and it build like a tank. All mechanical switch. There are also other options with all mechanical switches out there. Full kit was I think ~$80. The only thing that could make it better would be a bigger battery.I go through 1 and a half batteries per day when vaping heavy. You could check out the http://www.ecigarette-mods.com site...

I disagree about cheap and dependable being incompatible. Because thats what the roughstack is. Its a well made tube mod, with a user replaceable switch.

I also agree with Slurp. I have a Screwdriver, and there is literally nothing that could go wrong with it (theres a tiny spring that could get worn but it cost about 2 bucks to replace and doesnt wear out often). Being mechanical makes it a great main mod, or a good back up.

I wouldn't touch a mechanical mod. Mechanical and safety are incompatible. Many things can go wrong in a mod. Stuck switch, short in the atty, to high of a discharge in a battery and more. Chances are most folks will never have a serious problem, but when things go wrong they can do so quickly and without warning. Without some type of backup safety measures, and that means more than just a hole in the battery casing, you basically have a pipe bomb on your hands.

Save your pennies and get something with full backup safety. There are a few out their but for a 3.7 volt I recommend the Pro Vape 1. It's built like a tank with a lifetime warrantee.

Thanks for the suggestions, im still kinda torn between a few, and now the k-go is in the picture as well, a full kit is 44 bucks, seems pretty good. i know there is basically an infinite amount of mods out there and everyone has their own opinion on whats best... the screwdriver would probably be last on the list because it has a lower mah battery and is the most expensive

seems like its between
1. Roughstack
2. K-go
3. screwdriver
