Looking for a good mod with a high capacity battery, say at least 1500mAh

Hi all, I recently bought my first ecig....just a generic kangertech 650mAh, needless to say, the battery sucks, on a full charge I get maybe 4 hours (and thats being generous)...Needless to say because of work, I am not always in a position to recharge batteries have throughout the day

So instead of buying 2-3 kangers and switch them out throughout the day I figure buy a nice mod...Im looking at quality/battery life/reliable shipping (im in canada)

Currently I am looking at a smoktech zmax v2 kit, comes with a 2000mAh battery, the kit is about $100 shipped....unfortunately ive seen some reviews that make me question the zmax, so I have come here for advice!

First recommendation is that if a battery comes with a kit and it has the word "fire" anywhere in the name, get rid of it and get a goods set of batteries and charger. You cane get a nice vv/vw mod with a good IMR batteries and charge for under $100. 2000mah in a ICR battery that normally comes with kits is extremely inflated and is based off low amperage applications (like flashlights). A red efest 2000mah IMR will last longer then a trustfire 2000mah ICR in out type of application and use.

I'd get a decent tube mod, regulated or mechanical, your choice, and some Sony 18650 VTC5 batteries. Each batt has 2650 mah of stored energy and 30 amp continuous capable. Get a battery case and carry 2 spares with you.

Personally, I just take 3 mods with fresh batteries and all sporting a tank and maybe one dripper. That way I have a selection of flavors and styles of vape to choose from while on a vape break.

I don't think the OP is looking for a mechanical mod. I mean I generally vape a Stingray/Atomic with VTC5's but I'm not going to recommend this to a new vaper ;)

In an APV (regulated device) the Panasonic NCR18650B (3400mAh) batteries are tough to beat.

Personally I would grab two of these Panasonic, a Nitecore IntelliCharger i2 and something like an evic or zmax. The whole setup would be around $100 and you would have much better batteries and charger than what comes with a kit.

If considering a Smok Zmax look into a Sigelei Zmax V2, V3 or V5. The Sigelei build and firmware is hard to beat. You can find the solid tube V2 and telescopic V3 at Varitube.

Sigelei Zmax, Legend, 20W

Desert Vapes has good prices on body only V3 and V5

Sigelei Mods

Rather than buy a kit I suggest buying the devise alone and purchasing quality batteries and a charger separately. Use non-protected IMR or hybrid batteries button or flat top with the Sigelei. Good brands are AW IMRs, Efest red IMR and purple and some of the excellent Panasonic and Sony batteries you will find discussed at ECF. Good high-drain 18650s are typically 2000-2500mAh. The Nitecore Intellicharger i-4 is a best bang for the buck charger that can be found on Amazon for less than $20.

The Sigelei V3 and V5 are among the shortest tube mod APVs. Shorter than Vamo or SVD. The Sigeleis are 100mm at 18350, 112mm for 18490/18500 and 127mm for 18650.

If you're set on non-rebuildable tanks, a cheap kicked tube mod will serve your purposes quite well. If you wanted to drop more coin on a fancier setup, I'd suggest the MVP or SID. Rumor has it that Smoktech is releasing a 30w regulated mod soon, might want to look into that as a cheaper alternative to a Hana or Sigelei

Innokin iTaste

2600mah battery last about 2 days for me with usb port charging

Best for the buck

Unfortunately the Innokin look terrible, I don't want to carry around a squarebox + a nozzle....Its too bad tho, they are very cheap and have a very good battery

The other mod im looking at is the Joytech eVic, the main advantage of this is that I can get it in the next town over and dont have to pay for shipping / wait for shipping...Not sure if $109.99 is a good price for this one tho

For $119.99
Each kit contains.
1 x eVic control head
1 x eVic battery tube
1 x unprotected Li-ion 18650 2600mAh battery
1 x eVic USB cable
1 x Joyetech flat wall adapter
1 x eVic manual
1 x Operating system (MVR) manual

Battery Capacity:2600mah Replaceable 18650 Sanyo.

doesn't sound like a bad price to me especially for canada.

the evic is one of the few mods out there with onboard charging.
the screen is also a dashboard of information.

I so agree with you. I use the red efest 2000mah IMR flat top, for my Smok Sid and it lasts me almost 2 days (at 3.6 volts). I've been vaping quite a bit due to the first real stress I've had to deal with since I gave up cigarettes. I bought a set of 4, with a little plastic case on amazon for less than $30. My B&M was selling them for $9.99 each and online vape stores were offering them for around $12. So, I feel like I got a deal. If I didn't - don't tell me. I'll vape more. LOL

The Wife owns an MVP 2 and loves it and it travels real well.

I mostly use my REO when I'm not dripping but own a couple Sigelei's the 20W and the Zmax V3. Both have been real good performance wise and the V3 is small for an 18650. The 20W is a friggin light saber and doesn't leave my desk. Right now it has a Fogger on it with dual coils @ 1.1 ohms burning at 18 watts with Nicotickets GCD. The vapor and flavor are insane.

Every PV out there is going to get bad reviews except for Provari and REO. There is no warranty and very little support.

For under $40 you can pick up and MVP or Sigelei's Zmax V3 flat top and it if you take care of it they will perform solid and last.... well until you buy that next new shiny next toy.

Taste is subjective, that even goes for the equipment people by to kick the dreaded smoking habit. You talk to enough peole you'll hear good and bad about all of them.... well except for two.
