So I want to create a nice USB passthrough preferably 5v but anything will do for now. Something that runs strictly from USB and simple would be a plus as well. I'm really familiar with soldering so that's not an issue just a little lost when it comes to PCB's. I can follow electrical diagrams well so anything to put me in the right direction would be nice.

I've tried the search function and I dunno if I just suck as using search engines but was unable to find anything on this.

I believe all you need is pins 1 and 4. 4 for positive and 1 for negative or ground. Pins 2 & 3 are data+ and data-

I think, USB pathrough does not make sense. Standard USB controller gives only 0.5 A current. This is not enough for vaping. So you have to use a buffer accumulator with charger, protection etc.
If you have USB at hand, you also have a 110 or 220 VAC socket available, so much easier and cheaper to make a power supply using these sockets. And you easily can adjust voltage and/or current.

Well I made mine today from a box mod kit from Welcome to MadVapes LLC - Thanks Madvapes for awesome customer service !

Put it together from a little bit of the guide on their site and followed the neg / positive wires in the USB . Works Ok on my computer - my laptop it doesn't get enough power. I need to get a 2a adapter for my car though that will be awesome .

Might try to make one with a cut-off usb that can run off battery when not plugged in / charge the battery next.
