Hey Everybody, I started out with a 510 and am now using a DSE-905. I've read a lot of great things about vaping 5 volts and want to try it. Can someone suggest a 5 volt mod for me. I like simplicity so I don't want to turn end caps to get the correct voltage or anything like that, just 2 3 volt batts that put out 5 volts to the atty. I would love an led but I know that's rare if not non-existent. Also I need a top side button (not on the bottom like the Xhaler). All help is greatly appreciated:)

You might want to try the GLV or Chameleon. Those are the only 5v vapes that i'm familiar with besides the Xhaler.

Personally, I couldnt tell the difference between 5v and 6v...and I prefer 3.7 volt. The higher voltage took away the flavor for me and gave me a burnt taste.

Good luck in whatever you purchase.

Don't knock the xhaler until you try it, endcap position and button placement is not a big deal and it is a smoke monster (unsolicited Lost reference intended). Just pop in the 2 3V batteries, endcap is all the way in, atty on and vape all day at 5V. Great mod and highly recommended IMO.

Of course, making a 5V mod from madvapes is a great option too.

Hey, why not built yourself. If you have a soldering iron madvapes has everything else including the "how to". The first one will take a couple hours next one about 30 min. If it breaks you know how to fix it. The cool thing is you can tell your friends you built it. Thats way cooler than a production PV unless you have cash to burn.

I would recommend any mod that uses 2 3v batteries and use it with a high voltage atty. I'm using a Chuck @6v with a HV 801 atty and I couldn't be happier with it. The standard attys @6v would burn the juice and I hated it. The HV atty from Nhaler is sweet and I've been abusing it for 3 weeks now and it's still kickin.

BK, you get used to it just like you got used to the button on the 510.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind tho...bummer, xhaler is a great PV. You might look at the Joker, its not out yet but looks promising. Might be worth waiting for. Word of warning tho, once you get used to 5v vaping, its hard to go back to a 510:rolleyes:

Anybody tried any HV juices with 5V PV's?

The Prodigy is sounding better and better, anybody have any issues with the switch? Or should I wait until the V3 comes out (anybody have idea when that will be?).
I believe they currently ship with the new switch. I'd still wait a bit until I read some glowing reviews on it. I am not aware of any V3 by the way. Just the new "improved" switch and 2 piece adapters.

I'm waiting for a reply to my post at the Puresmoker forum to see what they say about the switches, I'll let you know what they say...

About the Bartleby, how do the batts function? Can it use one 3.7V or two 3V batts like an Xhaler, or is each model for a specific voltage?

Anybody know the dimensions on the Bartleby 3.7 and 5V models?

Also, Cash at Puresmoker told me today that the Prodigy V2's are shipping with a better switch and O-ring now. V2.1 coming out in a few weeks. Still waiting to find out if they will have the plastic or stainless steel switch (new forum http://pure-smokers.com/).
