So i posted earlier I was looking for a back up to my provari and it was brought to my attention to get a mechanical mod well I've decided to go that route! The only issue is I don't really know what to look for in a mech mod.

i was looking into the zenesis 2 dx490 and I'm leaning towards it but wanted to ask around to see what else was out there. Was trying to look at the caravela.... Ya hard to figure that place out haha.

give me your feed back... Pros and cons on the zenesis and other suggestions over it and why :) thanks guys!!!

I dunno...but expensive mechs are just that...expensive...I've seen mods go for an ....-hole load more than what they are, pretty looking. Personally, i don't like bottom button/trigger mods, like the Smok telescopics. Not a fan of that. Bolt's are okay, but it's compatibility with other types of attys (CE4-CE7 type ego connections) kinda turned me off to those mechs...

However, I think mechs are great back-ups for other VV or VW mods. Kinda why I just got a KTS mod. And it is to your preference. Battery types will cause weird power fluctuations (dunno if I'm using the terminology right on this). But that is dependent on the battery type (IMR or High Drain), atty, juice type, etc...

Personally, if you're going to get a mech, I would invest in getting a Kick and/or getting good IMR batteries.

just my .02...

well, not sure if this helps a lot buuuuuuuuuut I have two mech mods and not sure if I suck at them or if they just suck. I have a kamry kts and smoktech natural. im using a kanger pro tank and smok dct tank. they just don't seem to hit as hard as my halo triton tank set up. idk, I really want to like the mechanicals cause the idea of a non breakable or wearable mod really appeal to me, but it just hasn't worked out. if your happy with your provari, id suggest sticking with it

While there are plenty of noteworthy mechanical pvs out there, I love my SSGTS. I don't use cartos so I pair with a stealth cap. Always works great and looks good doing it. Will outlive me, I'm sure. Easy to clean and polish, takes any battery, always on standby for me if something else acts up. JMHO though - enjoy your search!

Thank you all for your input! Price isn't really a problem... Until you get real high, I won't spend over 175-200 for a mech. Ill check out the legacy and ssgts. Ill see what they're all about. I've looked at the k100 not really feeling it. The zenesis 2 looks great and the dx490 will fit my provari batteries. Provari uses the same battery :) have to have the extension for the 650. But my search goes on ;)

I just rebuilt my aga t2 10 min ago 400 as mesh and 28ga kanthal (have 250ft of 30ga comin in mail) but put in my new pink lemonade mt baker vapor and got 1 ohm of resistance. Second time rebuilding that tank and found that only oxidize the part where the coils goes makes a world of difference :) but ill check out the Kts. Do you know if the aw imr high drains I got from provape are protected?

Ah, you're right. I had thought the Provari used the 650's. My bad.

I have a couple of cheap mech mods - a smoktech telescope and a Sentinal knock-off from Fasttech. They're ok and I really like using them .. but they leave me wanting something of higher quality.

Considering a REO grand . .everybody who has one seems to love it. It'll probably be a reo grand or the Super-T Ela.
