Ive been searching all over for a black phiniac style glass tank. Phiniac has been out of stock on their black tank. I few people tell me its a bad ideas as they are not see through and you cant see your juice level. I still want one. No one else seems to have them, even the places that do custom work. Has anyone out there seen any other than Phiniac or IBTanked. I went to see IBTanked tanks and they either have some sort of pattern or texture. I have contacted Phiniac and even though I was under the impression they did custom orders they said that they cant make a smokey black or almost black tank. I dont like Bella tanks, all thought beautiful, their mouth pieces are just too artsy or large. I am looking into a good rebuild able atty tank in the future and of course would love a black one, but alas, i havent found one either. the only close to black atty was a zenesis PV called the BAM? It was gorgeous anodized aluminum all black APV. They did a small run and dont plan on making them again. :(

Did a google search trying to help you out and found this site! Looks like it might hold some promise for you!

What tank are you looking for specifically? I just went to the Phiniac website, and there are tanks available in black. Have you tried looking at a different design? They must be out of just the tank design you are looking at.

They have those at Phiniac. Here's a link.
When you go to this link you'll see the plain tanks with various colors. (These are naked tanks, so there'll be no sandblasting or anything else on them) If you click on 'tank color', it'll show a drop down window and you can choose black. Then you see 'Size', click on that and there will be another drop down window, and you can click on 'shorty'. You'll have a plain black shorty glass tank. The end caps are delrin, so they'll already be black.

Sandblasted Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

As you can see from this link to Phiniac tanks, ALL of their tanks have the same outside diameter and thickness. The only thing different is the height and the capacity. I use regular Phiniac tanks, and I have a Provari. The tank is just a tad bit wider than my Provari. If I'm not mistaken, the Bolt is alittle wider than the Provari, so you should be right on!

This looks like a tough one to find guys. I don't know of any glass tank providers other than Phiniac that offered black, and if they no longer have it in stock...

Even if other materials besides glass is considered, I only found the foreign manufacturer Siam Mods making a black delrin tube and end cap tank. Their only US distributor Clouds of Vapor doesn't visibly display those tanks on its website. If interested you might contact them; at least they have a connection to the manufacturer.

If the dark blue pyrex tubes won't work, could a tank skin work? Kind of like how those wood skins work at Phiniac.

Black Phiniac tank? I thought they were out of stock?

Nope, they are still in stock.

You can get your black shorty Phiniac tank with black end caps.

I do think it's strange you can't buy the colored tanks with stainless steel end caps! I thought all their stuff was uniform sizes, but you are right, they say they don't fit!

If I recall correctly, the tube diameters of the clear, colored (amber, green, blue), and black tanks are different. At least the thickness of the black tubes are different from the others.

Just about to order a black tank from Phiniac, what are the odds of my Bella caps fitting it:? Not that this is a big issue, but it might be nice to be able to chop and change my caps. The Bella I've ordered is orange and black and might look good with a black tank. Also noticed they do sand blasting on black tanks, might have to check this out also.

From my calculations, based on the dimensions gotten from the Phiniac website, all the colored glass tubes including the black ones will be too wide to fit a Bella tank.

The clear tank I got from Phiniac fits my Bella very snugly. It's outer diameter is 22.2mm with the glass thickness 3.2mm x2 sides (6.4mm), meaning the inner diameter is 15.8mm.

Phiniac spec sheet says the colored tanks measure 25mm in outer diameter and glass thickness is 3.5mm x2 sides (7mm) to give a 18mm inner diameter. Black tank will be 2.2mm too wide for the Bella.

Here is another real nice black pyrex tank. Its from IBTanked it is their "abysse" solid tanks, and whats cool is it comes in a slim size like this one, and a standard width tank. THe tube is 10.00 and stainless steel endcaps with a smooth slightly brushed finish are 19.00 a pair. THey fit real snug, no sliding.
One more really cool thing is that you can see your juice !!!!! It is translucent !!!!
