I've been vaping for about 4 months now. I started off with the ego-T and quickly realized the tank system is garbage. I kept the ego battery and now drip exclusively on 510 atty's regular and low rez(depends n my mood). I think I want to step it up a bit, have been looking around for a mod and it looks like there are a lot of quality pieces available i.e. The Megalodon, Omega, Alpha, prodigy, Saber touch, and Provari. I am interested in vv but it is not a deal breaker. I am interested in a quality piece that is not overly huge, I understand that the nature of these mods means they will be big, I just don't want anything thats huge. So really this is just a noob asking some veteran vapers their personal opinions on what a good QUALITY device is. ohh and if you feel like saying what kind of setup( battery, cart, atty, map-tank, etc) you run, that would be helpful as well . Thanx in advance and Happy vaping!!

If you have the money, I have to give my nod to the ProVari. It comes in a few colors now; I have the discontinued matte black but the black chrome looks awesome, too. It's not HUGE, just as big as it needs to be for the battery. I run it on all sorts of combinations; dripping and cartos are my fave. Pick up some Ikenvape atties and cartos and you'll be set. Once you go VV, you'll be hard pressed to find a device you like better. It's really a phenomenal PV. If you'd like to PM me, I can answer any questions you have... but I really gotta say, it's amazing. Plain and simple.

I think everyone should own at least one good bottom feeder that takes an 18650 battery (great with 1.5 to 2.5ohm attys or 2ohm Boge cartomizers) and holds 6ml of juice for the simplicity and no fuss/messing-with-gear-all-day factor (I own one of these: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rum/196163-hogs-mods.html?highlight=Hogs+Mods and it's made of win) and one good tube mod that adjusts in size such as the Empire or the Megalodon (I own the latter, will take my 18650's or take out the center part of the tube and it will convert to an itty bitty 16340 size and can do 6v by stacking 2 3v batteries in the long tube). I use 2ohm Boge cartomizers on this in either the 18650 or 16340 configurations. So, really, with just those two mods, you have so many options.

I have the cash available and the Provari is looking like the Ferrari of mods available, the only thing I worry about is all that electronics vs a mechanical unit. Funny you mention the Ikenvape atties, I just put in an order for a couple of the 2.5 ohm stealth 510's.

Any mechanical PV will be less prone to fail imo.

The GLV Super Mini takes the same little battery that the Megalodon will shrink down and take. I actually just sold a SM today because the Megalodon will do that size and is all mechanical...and of course will allow me to use other battery sizes and vape at different voltages. Honestly, both PV's are amazing, the "Don" just had more options and seemed the most sensible to keep of the two. But yeah...GLV Super Mini is one fine little PV :) Here's a shot of the Don in it's baby form:
