bought an ego-t last year and gave up on it quickly, few months ago i got the ego-c in hopes it would solve all my problems with the ego-c.....it helped, and i am now smoke free :) for 2.5 months.

But i want more lol..

have tried stardust, vision stone v3, and smoketec DCT (1.5 ohm)

of all of them i like the tank best...sadly the carto only made it 4 days b4 i became to hard of a draw to enjoy
i may have had a bad carto...or i may have messed something up somehow as other seem to get a few week out of them

if my math is right the ego is set at 3.7v...adding a 1.5 ohm resistance puts it at 2.47a (over what the mosfet in the ego can handle?) and

my ego fresh off charger pushed 4.1v, 20 min later it was @ 3.5 and just b4 death it was 3.2, as you can imagine this effected my vape performance drastically.

so i am searching for a new battery

looking for somthing that i can change 1 piece at a time if something goes bad, replaceable battery cells, regulated voltage, VV would be awesome, something that will last all day, (1kma @ 2.0 ohm lasted me all day) would like to try HV (5v on a 2.0ohm DC sounds like a monster lol ) sounds easy right?

Now the hard part...i want it to look good with my 3.5ml DCT (smoketech) the ego does with a sleeve...dont want a frank-en-vape, and cant be massive in size, slightly larger than the 1kma ego would be ok (wider not longer), dont want the ladies coming up and saying "are ya happy to see me or is that a provari in your pocket lol"

have the ego with the brushed metal finish and love the way it looks.

if anyone has suggestions and/or pics of the 3.5ml tank with battery it would be a great help. TY :)

still nearly 1" wide :-(, have not held one but 1" diameter seems huge to me...almost double the size of my ego. Ego is .55 and 3.5ml tank is .6, was looking at the evo v2.1 and it looks interesting, it is .75, any tanks out there .75? and a way to cover the 510 threads? Really want it to look a sleek/slim as i can....like 1 piece, not a bunch of parts thrown together

The ego is only 3.4 volts NOT 3.7 volts. Much better battery options in that class of PV's are the Kgo, E-Power and Riva, which are all true 3.7 volt models.

And based on your comment about being able to replace individual parts, in that "class"/size of PV's, the one you want is the E-Power 510. It comes with 1050 mAh replacable batteries that cost about $4 each instead of the $15 - $20 you have to pay for eGo batteries which are only 650 mAh (stardard). The switch is also replacable separately for about $12.

E-Power Replacable Battery kit!

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - EGO E-Power

You might also want to look at a good 5 volt model with replacable batteries like the 5 volt GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor.

Another less expensive option would be an EVO/SVR or what ever other names it is called you can pick up a kit for about 60.00 and it is awesome although I would look into a version 2 and purchase better batteries. I am currently using it with a stardust and I am in haven. It is a stacked battery setup but Mindfield on ecf is known a Vaporchase on youtube has a really easy modification video that takes care of the stacked battery safety issues. Just something else to consider before jumping right into a provari. It can handle the higher amperage that the DCT's require plus it is VV.

I'll ditto the suggestion regarding the E-Power 14650, however Madvapes appears to be out of stock. I believe Sweet-Vapes has the carto kits either in chrome or rubberized black, also at a better price, here: E-Power They have other options as well, including the E-Power ego 18650.

Just a suggestion though for the OP: the very first thing I would do is get some Smoktech 510 XL single coil 1.7 Ohm "Resurrector" cartos from here: Crystal Clear Vaping and try them in your tank on your existing eGo batteries. CCV has a great deal on both these & Boge in qtys. of 15 ea., and free ground shipping on every order. (I'm saying that's what *I* would do, because I have to pinch every penny until I see Lincoln's nose bleed.) The reason for this is, those dual coil 1.5 Ohm cartos actually contain two 3.0 Ohm coils wired in parallel, so they cannot possibly generate enough heat for (what I'd consider) a decent vape anywhere below 4.0 volts. I love the single coil 1.7 Ohm at 3.7 regulated volts on my E-Power, and I expect they'd work fairly well on your eGo at 3.4.

Whatever you choose, best of luck & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Good points, Warren. I completely agree that 1.5 dual coils are a waste until you get above 4.0 volt vaping. In fact, for me, they need to be at 4.5 volts or more. I think they really shine right around 5.0 volts.

thanks for all the input, love the look of the evo 2.1, think i read somewhere that the switch is only rated at 2A though :-(, just put on an order for a few single coil 1.7's and a few dual coil 2.0, and a vv mod box. Will play with the vv box at home and decide what v/ohm setting i like most and see if i can get a small-ish battery to mach up to that for on the go vapeing. just dont want my on the go PV to be huge, needs to be portable and discrete. thinking the e-power 14500 and a SC 1.7 in a tank might be a good compromise. will see when my vv box gets here :)

BTW my last (and only) cartomizer only lasted 4 days, is that normal? did i do something wrong?...do they need cleaned? if so, how?

4 - 6 days for a cartomizer is about right. I rarely go past 5 days before starting up a new carto. You can clean them (I have used PGA) but they are never as good as a fresh one and not worth it IMO.

decided to try and clean it, had nothing to loose lol it was already dead. ran it under hot water for a min...put it in my ultrasonic cleaner 3 times at 5 min each and hot water again...let it dry for a day and it is MUCH better now...got a ton of black junk out if it while cleaning...not sure it was worth the time/effort to do as it is only $2 to replace.
