I expect my sigelei Zmax Telescopic to last two years or more. I base this on my experience with the E-Power 14650 I owned before. That is another well-built Chinese APV. I used that tube mod every day for 18 months before upgrading to the Sigelei. I went through a couple of sets of 14650 batteries with it. Over two years later the E-Power 14650 still works fine.

For the eight months I've owned the Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic Flat Top I have been using two 18650s, four 18500s and four 18350s. All are IMR batteries. I use the the 18500s most often and hardly ever use the 18350s. Capacity is starting to drop on the 18500s and I will be replacing them soon.

After misplacing the Sigelei for a few hours over the Thanksgiving holiday I decided I needed another for a back-up unit. I provided a mini-review of it here.

Thanks for that yzer. I might end up giving a Zmax a try. I have been using a iTaste VV 3 after I first got started with an Evod kit. I really like the iTaste, as it works well and has a great form factor. Only issue I have is that the battery is only 800 mAh, which is a function of it's small size. I think about buying another, but I'm not a big fan of any electronics that don't come with user-replaceable batteries.

Sorry. The Sigeleis have excellent voltage regulation if operated in the RMS mode, which is user selectable. Sigelei owners can use the hotter-running mean voltage selection if desired. Watch the three Pbusardo videos on Sigelei Zmax. He tests Sigelei voltage output on an oscilloscope.

That's why I recommended the Sigelei over the Smoktech. Still, the Zmax leaves much to desire in regards to airflow.

Also own the Sigelei Zmax V3 and it's my fave PV right now. Also realize once we get past the initial cost of external batts and charger a whole new world of inexpensive Tube Mods opens up.

    Amen to that!
I have 4 very different PV's sitting on my desk, all using the same 18490/500 batteries. I think of it as 'building a system' rather than buying individual PV's. You wouldn't believe how it cut down on the logistics to only have one size of battery to worry about.
