After my cheap Li-ion charger went up in flames with a 18350 in it a couple of days ago, I have been looking for a new charger which is safe and can charge AA/AAA and be powered from a USB port.

LCD Universal Charger for Li-ion/LiFePO4 26650 18650 NiMH C AA AAA - Soshine

Does anyone own one of these or have any information on it? I really need something that is multi purpose as I have very limited space and power.

Features:
Mix charge the battery
Reverse protection
Precision end-of-charge voltage detection
Auto active function for Lithium battery cell open (0 Voltage)
Automatic 3.7V/1.2V battery cell voltage and polarity detection
Press the button select LiFePO4 batteries
Floating-charge maintains battery in full charge
LCD displays for multi-information, battery type ,voltage ,time ,charging percentage ,charging capacity ,worse battery and bad battery

Metal plates for charging connection can easy adjust for many different type battery cell

Over Charging timeout protection
Auto alert indication for worse battery cell and bad battery cell
Power input can use DC12V or Mini USB DC5V for charging or DC 6V
Photovoltaic solar panel

that looks like a good charger. I would like to suggest the xtar Panzer WP4 charger, it has good features and price seems ok

Looks pretty good from the product sheet, I don't really need a 4 bay it's a bit bulky for the space I have 2 is good for me. A lot of people speak quite highly about Xtar charger although reading the reviews they are not all equal.

The SoShine I posted should be avoided.
