As the title states, I'm looking to get a new mod since I'm having to give away my Provape PV-1 (well trade actually). Here's what I'm looking for:

  • Something inexpensive (around $50-$75 tops)
  • 510 connection.
  • Something either solar or rechargable without taking batteries out since my charger is part of the deal.
  • Variable Voltage would be nice, but not necessary. Otherwise 3.7V

  • If not a solar mod, then something that has good battery life. I currently use 14500's and they'll get me through a shift at work, but not much more).

From the research I've done, pretty much the only mods that fit those criteria are box mods. However, I can't seem to find one that can be recharged via USB (think Bartleby. Can you even get one of those anymore?). Can anyone recommend one of good build quality? I've also been looking at Big Rob's Solar mod. Can anyone who owns one tell me how theirs is holding up? I've already seen a couple of reviews, but said reviews were when the mod was brand new. Thanks!

Have you considered an Ego Booster? I ask because convenience is exactly why I got one and why its my traveling mod. With batteries, it does fall outside your budget, but I am sure you have some ego batteries around.

I use pass through Ego batts, so its super convenience to charge. I just stick it into my iGo charging mini USB tip (an all in one traveling charging system) or plug it into the 4000mah portable battery I carry for charging my phone/tablet on the go.
