I have about 6 vivi nova tanks, all are 3.5ml but i do have one that is a 8.0ml and love it (it floods like a river unfortunately... Too tight of a draw, but thats what i like about it and the vapor production is amazing) I have not experimented with other tanks because i love this particular tank but i think i want to try something new. Should i try a carto? I was wanting to try a bottom feeder because well with gravity, it makes since. There is just soo many different products out there i do not know what to get. Any suggestions?
I currently have an Itaste SVD (dont know if that makes a difference).

EDIT- oh yeah i would like to be able to rebuild it.

I've been more than pleased with the carto-tank system. I am hearing good things about the Innokin iClear30/30S and am waiting for a pair of 30S's to arrive to see how they compare (they aren't glass/pyrex, so that's a minus for me right off of the start).

It's possible to try either (carto-tanks or clearomizers) for under $10 and see which is best for you.

I just tried an iClear30 (not "S") for the last twenty-four hours on my new iTaste 134 since the tank came with the kit. Then, I put the Protank II on it and the difference was stunning to me. Protanks are finnicky, tedious, and frustrating but when it works well it works better than anything else I've tried hands-down. Flavor alone on the PTII blows the iClear30 out of the water. And the vapor production is better with less effort in my draw. Can't wait to use up the juice in my iClear to fo back to the PTII for good.

It's funny and ironic how two people can judge the two same products and come away with different opinions of them.

I use both the Protank and iClear 30, and much prefer the iClear 30 for better flavor and vapor production, larger juice capacity, and less dry hits, although I do prefer the looks of the Kanger more and like that it is made of glass.

I prefer my IBTanked pyrex tanks with Ikenvape cartomizers over the clearomizers. Best flavor and vapor production, zero maintanance, zero dry hits or flooding. They take a little longer to fill and they do have a learning curve for beginners, but they are well worth giving them a try.

Honestly, the ProTank II is amazing when you learn to make your own coils and change that silica to cotton. The process is very easy, and the results are very nice. I have been pushing towards an IBTank or a Phiniac, both of which are carto. The question then becomes which cartos to use, etc. Another nice option is the Aspire dual-coil BCC, which is cheap, looks just like a Nova, but has very very good output on all levels. The iTaste30 is a nice tank as well, but it is not on the top of my list to own, by any means. Carto tanks are more expensive for glass, but they are fire and forget, each coil is just like the last...all a preference thing. I just like a little of everything though...except my Nova, lol. I actually mixed a small batch of thermite just to murder that one I got a new tank in.

I use iClear30's, 16's, and Vivi Novas all the time. I hated the protank and T3. On the last order I did I wanted to try a cartotank and not spend a bunch of money so I ordered one of these:

$5.34 U-DCT E-Cigarette Atomizer (3.5mL) - translucent / 1.8ohm / bottom locking ring at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It was $5.34 and looks great on my new SVD and vapes really well!! outstanding flavor and great vapor production! I am very impressed with it actually, It is plastic but I just wanted to try one. Plus I have a metal tank I use for harsh juices...

Just curious... I'm using a VW so what watts are you using and do you wash out a new tank or something before you use it? Maybe as a newbie I skipped a step or something when I just slapped the new tank on my PV. Oh yeah, and I'm using 100% VG with tobacco flavors and varying levels of vanilla mixed in. Plus, it could be that I used the PTII for a couple of weeks and got used to it's temperament and perhaps developed a good technique with it. I'm wondering if I'm drawing too hard on the iClear being since it has less airflow compared to what I've been used to. Now, I'm going to have to use the iClear for a few weeks just to see what I think about it once I get to "know" it better.

All of my mods are VV so I don't know the conversion off the top of my head for VW. I use 2.5 ohm (Ikenvape Platinum) or 3.0 ohm (Ikenvape 510 Fusion) cartomizers for my cartotanks on my Provari's or other VV mods, and adjust the voltage to whatever flavor I'm using. Generally 3.4 volts up to 4.0 volts. I've already given a link to my cartotank setup earlier in this thread. I use 50/50 ratios pg/vg. I only rinse out the tanks between flavor changes.

Almost all juice attachments benefit from the proper draw technique, which are long slow gentle draws of 4 - 6 seconds. Imagine sucking on a straw in a thick milkshake.

i was a protank guy until my vaping style changed and i was taking longer hits and i burned/melt insulator gaskets. after reaching the top of the mountain with protank 2, so to speak, i have ended on a Kayfun lite. i use the bottom coil clearos because i must be able to lay down or put my pv in a hardcase for travel. i needed something that would satisfy my chain vaping with long 6-7 second drags and make lots of vapor. also no leaking!
coming from rebuilding protanks, this rba was easy and i had mastered its build on my third attempt. it is more flavorful and no leaks except for during filling but once setup it will hold true.
if you are interested i can tell you how i got mine, since they are out of stock from the one US reseller.if you already know who i am talking about, just give them a call. christopher answered and sold me the only one they had left when none were in stock online.
