Right now I am using mostly iClear 16. Aerotank is collecting dust; I do not really like it and I plainly hate to see how it fits ego/510 connector of my mod (extremely poor engineering).

So, I am looking for atti that:
- use ego threads
- made of glass
- 2 ml or more
- Have rebuildable coil

So far I have found only RGM2 and RG280 which use protank coils. Can you suggest anything else? Are protank and aerotank coils the same thing?

Thanks

If you are using ego sized batts, protank mini and aerotank mini look good, but you won't get quite 2mls...they are a bit less than that.

I tried to put a protank 3 on my ego, it looks.........ridiculous, even with a tank ring. I really don't like any of the 510 larger tanks on an ego battery that are glass, way too top heavy.

How many mm is the connector area on your mod? 19mm? 22mm? what?

I'm using the coils that I bought that were specifically bought to use on my Protank 2 tanks in my Aerotank mega and so far it's working out good, even though the protank 2 uses a signle bottom coil and the original coils that came with my aerotank mega I seem to remember had dual bottom coils.

Anyway, with the ego style batteries, I'd suggest the Protank 2 mini, as to me the PT2 mini looks like it was built specifically for the ego twist style batteries/mod. However, it does not meet your 2ml capacity as it only holds an advertised 1.5ml.

But when you move up to a tank that holds 2ml, it gets slightly larger and to me no longer looks like it matches up with the ego twist size of battery. So, I'd just go with the Protank 2 mini and deal with the .5ml less capacity.

For quite a while I was still using my Nautilus 5ml tank (with the stainless steel cage tank) on my ego twist style battery with the beauty ring. Some people don't like that look and say it's top heavy. Yes, it is top heavy but I've yet to want to "stand" my ego twist battery in an upright position no matter what tank is attached to it, so the top heaviness of the Nautilus tank on my ego twist battery never bothered me. Personally I think the Nautilus with the stainless steel cage tank looks really nice on a brushed steel joyetech ego twist style battery as long as you use a beauty ring with it. But to each their own.

If you're dead set on 2ml, I think the tank might need the use of a beauty ring where as the 1.5ml tanks like the PT2 mini are slender enough to look matched to the ego style batteries IMHO.

Let me repeat, I just hate to see how my aerotank fits ego/510 connector (poor engineering). So, I prefer (at least for now) ego connection.

Yes, I was understanding that, since I feel the same way. It is hard to find 2ml or + in an ego-threaded GLASS clearo. I believe that is because in the back of their minds ego-threaded devices ( even though many "mods" have ego threads now) were designed for "ego battery" size.

ONLY one I can think of off top of my head is the Smoketech ARO clearomizer. It is glass inside SS and holds 3.5ml.
Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass eGo BCC

It is NOT 510 threaded, only ego threaded.....but you would have to ask if it will fit the Vamo, sometimes the depth of the connector on top of mods isn't wide or deep enough to handle these things.

For instance, none of my T3 clearos, which aren't glass but are large capacity clearos, will fit down into the X6 I have, even though the X6 has both 510 and ego connectors. The base is just a tad too large on these clearos.

So the vendor would know. The AROs are pretty nice, I used to have a few. Only reason I know about these things is because i hate the way most 510 clearos fit on top of things, prefer ego threading for a nicer look, but they are always too small and I am refilling constantly. I think that is how I got onto AROs in the first place.

And, they are less than $8.00. :)

IF you find a glass tank that is ego threaded, and large enough capacity to suit your needs, that does not fit down into your vamo connection, then you will have to purchase a 510-to-ego adapter, and use that on top, then screw your clearo down to that.......and that may end up leaving a gap, but then again, it may not. :) For $8 it's probably worth a try!

In other words, a mod having both ego and 510 threading is only 1/2 the story. The connector on top has to accept the ego type clearomizer you are trying to use. :)
