I figured i'd start my own thread because the world of mechanicals is big and scary and now i can give my exact reasons for wanting this. This will ONLY be used for rba's and rda's and i wanted to know which models work well for people's rebuildables. I was looking at the drawtube/ rapture mod and just need to make sure it is heavily rba friendly.. I have a bombshell stinger i stupidly thought was mechanical and it will not fire any sort of rba... so i retired it to cartomizer tanks (the other two mods i have are Provaris and that amp limit is a wet dump on my rba dream). Anyway didnt want to buy another mod that wouldnt work for my purposes, thanks!

With that said, I have a china gg I got at Hoosier vapes I like quite a lot.

If someone had told me "thisll work for rba's" i woulda bought like 3 when they were half price, i think you have a good quality mod for way less than anything i'll pay this weekend lol[/QUOTE]

They still are super cheep. When you add it to your cart they automagicaly lower in price. :)

SS is less conductive than brass, so will result in a drop of voltage delivered to an atomizer. According to this review, they tested it and the drop was only .01 volts, but who knows. I imagine some DrawTube owners on the forum have done some tests:

Draw Tube Smart by Beautiful | Vape Squad

As for some other differences between the CCTS and DrawTube, the DrawTube body is all SS, CCTS is chrome over brass. The CCTS has a tapered top, so depending on which RBA you use it may be wider than the top of the CCTS, some don't care about this and some prefer a more seamless look.

A drop of .01 volts is actually pretty close to the norm for just about any mod that isn't total crap. Things are different under load, but admittedly the Vape Squad tests are, for now, not done under load, since there are a hell of a lot of variables to try to account for there and still keep things equivalent between mods.

If ure looking for reasonable device then theres actually a lot to choose it just depends on ur usage... theres k100 made by kamry an empire clone for 62 $ at dv full kit... some vendors sell it under 40 for the device alone... theres drawtube under 50 performs well and accepts any tops whatever u throw it has ss contacts but ull only notice the drops under 1.2 ohms... theres the natural under 60 or u can find that lesser in other vendor. The good thing about the natural is u can sand the contacts to brass for better conductivity, its chrome over brass contacts... theres chichi if u want a tapered top like k100... or u can settle with some sieglie mech mods... theres a lot to choose... imo I have drawtube, k100 and the natural and all of them performs like a champ... but if u want a sleek look and not too heavy on the pocket and kickable id recommend k100.

If you're not ordering until Saturday I should have my CCTS by then and can pop some pics and comparisons up in this thread.

I'd really appreciate side by side pics, i have a Cobra Genesis that i know will look better on the ggts but all my drippers are wide and flat so theyd be a match for the rapture lol. Thanks for explaining the voltage drop i dont see that being a problem for me if i chose that.

0.1 volt drop off in their test? I'd like to see what their test parameters were because that seems ... well ... impossible.

Not even silver plated brass contacts are achieving 0.1 volts under load at the coil. (the measurement that actually matters)

+1 to that... .01 volts drop underload is impossible.

Yeah, I figured that wasn't under load. Plus they contradict themselves by saying SS contacts on the DrawTube aren't a problem, but bash the Natural in their review for only having one brass contact (pretty sure it has two, although under chrome plating). They also say the DrawTube switch has a ring to adjust the throw, which it doesn't - at least mine doesn't.

That's the only real review I've seen of the DrawTube mod, other than a re-branded 'Inspire" vid on YouTube.
