Yeah yeah, I have read the opinions about Blu + and know that there are a lot better vaping options out there. The biggest advantage to the Blu + for me is the size and the pack where I can have a spare battery charged with me at all times.

Right now, I am refilling my Blu tanks.

I have tried the mistic bridge refillable tank for the Blu + and was not impressed. The throat hit is very harsh using it.

I have read that one of the Kanger tanks would fit the Blu + batteries but I can't find the thread that said which one. I think that is going to be my next experiment is getting a quality refillable tank that will fit the Blu + batteries that I already have..

The Innokin AIO 510 kit is a great option. It has a PCC case that doesn't require screwing in the battery to charge and can use any type standard 510 batteries and cartos for replacements. Maybe tanks, too, if the Blu tanks work with 510 threads or if you can find another tank that's small enough. Probably tons cheaper than the Blu products, too.

hi Chadster1 and welcome to the forum. I tried the cig a likes a few years ago, didn't work for me. The important thing to understand, is that "what works for you" is the important issue. I started with a blister pack starter set and it worked, but it wasn't long I needed more battery life. After a better battery (longer lasting cylindrical battery), I purchased a better tank, then even better tanks (Nautilus Mini), then a 50W iStick mod (for an even longer lasting battery). I feel like I've reached the top of a level and haven't attempted to grow into sub ohms yet.

Stick with what works for you.

This is a pic of the second step in my journey, the battery on left is my very first blister pack, not much larger than the Blu cig a like. The rubber band on the Nautilus Mini is so I know what flavor is in the tank. (plus it kept it from rolling off my desk)

The newest product that has a lot of the YouTube reviewers seal of approval is the JoyeTech Ego One. It's a great little device that fits well with a new vaper along with vape veterans. Just go to YouTube and Search Joyetech Ego One. You will not be disappointed. I've been vaping since 2010 and fairly sure I will be getting one. That says a lot for someone who uses RDA's exclusively. Good luck.

If you want a cigalike, the Joyetech Eroll C might also be a good candidate. It's got some startup costs, but I'd get the mega PCC, 3 batteries, 3 atomizer cones, 10 tanks (want 6, only come in packs of 5), and 10 atomizers (packs of 5). It's about $120, but it's pretty much regarded as the top of the line cigalike on the market. Also has magnetic charging.

The Blu + works for me in every way except for the cost of the tanks.

From what I have read, the Blu + has 510 threads.

I like the looks of the the Innokin kit posted.

I originally started vaping with the original Blu kit and was not impressed. I would switch back and forth between the original Blu and analogs. When the Blu + came out, I was able to completely quit analogs. The performance of the Blu + with the tanks over the original Blu with the cartomizers was amazing to me. That being said, I am somewhat leery of buying something else with a cartomizer vs. a tank. I don't really understand the difference between the two yet, I am still learning. That's why I am here. Cartomiser, clearomiser, tanks, disposable, rebuildable, single coil, dual coil etc. These are all things I am trying to figure out the advantages and disadvantages of.

I have also been looking at the eGo but haven't figured out the difference between the CE4, CE4 plus, CE5 and CE5 plus. I know that the answers are already on this forum, I just need to do some more reading.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Hi Chad. Here's a couple links for you :Forum Suppliers Forum Suppliers and check here :DEALS & Steals http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals.html (go to last page) There is a coupon link in the gray bar of every page on this forum, many give discounts to ECF.

From what I've read, most people who order from China use Fasttech, they have a link in the forum. My understanding is it takes two weeks to get shipped from them. My average experience ordering from a US supplier is about 4 days.

There is a search box at the top right corner of every page, keyword activated. ex: clearo, vaper tongue, 510 ....

In my vape journey, I used these Inexpensive "clearo, tanks, or whatever". The one on the left is a C5, and the other 4 are Smok Micro Coil BDC plastic tanks, clearos or whatever. I really liked the pull, hit, draw of the Smok, but they are plastic, and some juices will crack them. I was told by a local shop I would end up throwing away the C5's , and it turned out very true. These are all eGo threaded, and fit on the stick batteries outer threads in the previous pic I posted.

Good luck.

The bottom Smok, is apart to show the collar, and a coil in the collar.

If you were having satisfaction issues with the Blu kits that the Blu tanks took care of, I'd definitely steer clear of cartomizers. Unfortunately, none of those carto based PCCs will support an add on tank for any cigalike... they're just too long. If refilling the Blu tanks is working for you, it's at least a way to cut costs. I'd imagine you can refill them 5 or 6 times before they start to taste funny. Maybe eat some startup cost and buy a few packs of these to have as future refills? Other than that, I'd have to recommend either an upgrade or an advanced cigalike such as the eroll or ikiss mentioned above. Between the two I'd choose the eroll because of that nice, high capacity pcc and since those atomizers have been in use for years and will likely be around for the long haul. Barring that, it might be time to upgrade to something along the lines of an ego with a passthrough or an istick with a nice tank like a Nautilus mini.

Incidentally, the Joyetech egrip is all about convenience, too. Might be worth a look.

No love for Blu here. Tobacco company + overpriced + fake reviews + Chinese liquid + EU TPD 2016.

Blu UK are supporting the ban of refillable e-cigs in Europe.

However - good news! :)

If it's good enough for you, we can find the same product from the same "factory" at less cost and less moral dilemma.

What's not to like. Win - Win! :)

- -

Blu UK uses the same batteries and tanks available from Kanger (Kangertech). If Blu USA is the same, it's an easy system to copy.

If you want to continue using the blu batteries, you can simply buy a bunch of Kanger T4 cartomizers. They run about $2 a piece and they are refillable and they have the 510 connection. They are a bit taller than the blu tank, so it won't fit inside the charging case. Here is one on a blu battery.

Aspire makes a solid kit that includes a variable voltage battery and Mini Nautilus. Its an improvement to your Blu+ in every way except size. I can also recommend the Ego One. The Ego One is a bit cheaper than the Aspire kit but the replaceable atomizers are a couple bucks more. Ego One's are fixed voltage and come in two different sizes, both of which are higher in mah than the Aspire CF VV+. Keep in mind that a 1100mah Ego One running a 1.0ohm coil will drain the battery faster than a 1000mah Aspire CF VV+ running a 1.8ohm coil (only if both devices are running the same voltage).

That is one aspect that I do understand. The lower the ohms, the higher the amperage draw from the battery. Simple math.

I think what I have decided on is some Kanger T3D clearomizers and a couple of 650mah batteries.
