Your recollection, impeccable, Pufferz. Yes, that was a stop gap, but (as you said) I realized I can always up the PG now knowing that it's a pretty strong flave. Even if I don't up it, I can still take some vapes from a high VG - just not a steady and total diet of it.
very cool - same with me

can handle a little PG as long as I'm careful...

A few weeks ago I ordered Ohms vape's RY4. After reading a review that said Ohm's RY4 was very similar to Mr.Vape's RY4. I couldn't agree more. Ohm's version of RY4 is awesome. For me It has a compounded flavor, not like some that you taste certain flavors on inhale or exhale. For me Ohm's RY4 is balanced where all three of the flavors shine evenly. When my order arrived I vaped a tank and I tasted a tangy after taste. After letting my bottles steep for a week they've lost that after taste, which I like a lot better now that that's happened. If you haven't tried Ohm's Vape's RY4 yet and you use to like Mr.Vape's RY4 I think you be happy with you purchase. Oh I almost forgot, the best part of Ohm's Vapes juice is it's price.

I never got the tang but someone else who escapes me at the moment did.

My first 10ml test batch of TFA RY4 Double has been steeping for several weeks now and at 5% it's weak. I just upped the flavor percentage to 10%. We'll see what kind of flavor emerges.

TFA RY4 Double is a favorite of many vapers here. This is my first try mixing that particular flavor.

ETA: On the advice of others I tested a half Kayfun V2 tank of the newly upped 10% mix and now I can taste a little caramel and some sweetness, along with some interesting, but unidentifiable notes in a nose exhale.

We'll see what happens in a couple of days. For now, I'll add a little HS Highway to that tank for some quick tobacco flavor.

Methinks you will enjoy. Wonderful in combo with absolutes and a great backbone for any tab DIY. G'luck. :)

Now that you mention it one of the undertones is similar to DK Tab. It's kind of a weak clove flavor. I can see how DK-TAB would be a companion flavor.

I'll use Ry4D as a base with other flavorings. I never felt Ry4D alone as a single flavor so great. But when mixed it's an excellent vape.

Dave - TFA RY4 Double is a very weak 'concentrate.' Some might take it as far as 20% on it's own. Many use it is combination with other flavorings. It might ought to be called RY4 Half rather than Double. I moved away from it as I like to keep my VG as high as possible.
Yes, my wife and I love it at 15%, and I've seen many others mix it at 20%.

Update for the Pufz, and anyone else.

The VapeMoar Mellow Gold is kwite tasty. I've not tweaked it to bring it to a higher PG ratio, not yet anyway.

It's lovely, Puffz, but the high VG certainly absconds with the actual flavor. I keep sort of struggling to find it, but I know it's there, somewhere.

I'm now concerned that the addition of PG is going to hide the flavor entirely. I don't find this flavor "strong" enuf to warrant the tweak, sadly.

I vaped up the 100 test drop sample mix. Thanks for the info. I'll do it at 15% and go to 20% if necessary. Maybe they call it RY4 Double because that's what it takes to get enough flavor. :)

My BWB RY4 is 3 months old now. I keep a 10ml bottle of it in my work room, and drip it when I'm in there. At 3 months it's just starting to get some flavor to me. With my poor smoked out buds, I can't really tell what it is yet, but it is getting better, so I'm thinking that the 6 month steep time I've heard for this is true.
I just ordered some Ohm's Vape RY4 to try also. I like the price on this, so if it's half way decent, I'll be happy.
I make my own juice mostly, but don't mind having some reasonably priced juice to vape on.

I'm starting to experiment with adding a little of the RY4 Asian to the RY4 Double. I originally thought the Asian was mild, but it does have a definite burnt caramel flavor (and corresponding lingering aftertaste/smell). Mix was 2% RY4D, .2% RY4A, .2% TA Garuda, had to dilute that a bit, next will try without the TA probably. I like the Double by itself at 5% though yes it is light.

I have been mixing those 2 as well, and plan to do similar with things with the OSDIY RJ4 that I have. Here is one I mixed the other day:

    Rule62 RY4
    7.00% RY4 Double (TFA)
    3.00% RY4 Asian (TFA)
    2.00% Ethyl Maltol (NN)
    0.50% Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA)

It smelled pretty good but it will likely be a few months before I get around to tasting it. I also mixed up a variation of RocketPuppy's RY4 at the same time using mostly TFA and some RF Bavarian Cream since I am finally out of my TFA Bav Cream:

    RocketPuppy's RY4 variant
    7.50% RY4 Double (TFA)
    1.80% Bavarian Cream (Real Flavors)
    0.75% Caramel Original DX (TFA)
    0.75% Vanilla Bourbon (TFA)
    0.25% Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA)
