Hey all - been out of the game for a while since the wife had twins so I've been using the lavatube and I used to really not mind using such a device but it's starting to get a little big and cumbersome for me. Even my provari is a bit to much. I will do some research as well but are there any 18350 battery tubes that might be better suited for me ? Even if I have to charge it twice a day ?

Example being the telescope mod I saw on MV. Or maybe the ego VV or the gripper or maybe even the bolt ?

I guess what I'm looking for is someone who loves their smaller capacity battery and wouldn't change it for the world

I'm currently using the mini ego 450 bc they are great in size but at 450mah I don't get more than 12 hours which is more than fine with me. I'd be happy with 8 hours of Batt life

Did I miss anything amazing in the last 9 months in terms of batteries ? Are we onto nuclear propulsion batteries or wifi batteries ? Maybe ? Maybe not ?

Ok new advice request over

If im in the wrong forum sorry about that !

I've used the Telescope in 18350 and battery life wasn't too awful bad, maybe 6 hours, but that ALL depends on you and how much you vape. But, the Tele in 18650 mode is only 4 5/16" long, that is from switch to 510 connector, and that got me through the day. It measures 3 1/8" with 18350, so not much difference. Measured with protected batts, would be 5mm shorter or so with batteries that don't have protection circuit.

two things.

A. Wow, i didnt even know provari had a mini out - I love my provari - shows you how long i've been out of touch
B. $199 for chrome? 219 for black? I'm going to withhold my thoughts on that price.

For someone like me, who won't use it that much, it makes more sense to by a mini VV tube/lava tube, and it would be 1/5th the cost.

i like the idea of the Telescope mod also, i just read some reviews, and some people complained about the button, and others complained about crappy threading.

but it could be an option for me.

I have a reo mini and reo grand collecting dust ever since tanks came into the ring to box with the big boys. The rough stack I had was actually awesome and I gave it to a friend. I don't think MV has them anymore ? I'll check but I thought the bolt replaced the rough stack

That 18350 tube is actually quite nice.

Is it the size of a rough stack with 18350 batt ?

I like my Ego twist 650. The battery is about 4 inches long and it looks really good with a mini-nova (with tank skirt) or Kanger t2/t3 clearo on it. A very flexible, convenient and low priced option. The VV is not super exact like with the more expensive mods but it lets you dial in the flavor/vapor perfectly for the juice and device you're using (as long as the device is not too high ohms, of course).

BTW - I have 2 EGO-Twist 1000mah batteries, too . . but I tend to use the 650's more because they are smaller. The battery on 650 lasts me around 5-6 hours which is good enough when charging/swapping.

Yes MV has the rough stack and also carries the bolt. No you shouldn't (I wouldn't at least) buy it. I went through 3 swtiches on th RS and now have a home made side mounted switch on it. The (poor quality) top mounted switch will not allow you to put anything but a carto on it, it gets in the way of a tank, clearo, VVN or RBA. Mine sports a tank now but the Bolt is the same thing, better quality and has a side mounted and better quality switch.

I too am looking for a similar back up, so far the bolt is leading the pack.
    Just my opinion.

Is that a REO? I want one but I still can't quite understand it. Do you squeeze the bottle or does it fill the atty on its own (using the vacuum caused when taking a hit)? If you have to squeeze it how easy is it to accidentally flood it? Would you prefer that over a ProVari w/ carto tank or Kanger T3 (Bottom coil)?

To the OP, maybe try this:
    New MATRIX Telescopic 3-Stage Variable 3.4-3.7-4.0 - BLACK [gv-MATRIXVV-BLACK] - $44.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

It is a 3-Stage VV. Can be set to 3.4-3.7-4.0 Can be set to I haven't heard of anyone trying them but it's not easy to make a ....ty mod like that. It uses 124430, 14500 or 146500 (I think it's a typo and should say 14650 on the website but it sayd 146500. I don't know).

Also, something I want in the future, the Rider Robust is just a little bigger than a 1000mah eGo and it packs a punch like the ProVari. I will be getting one next week without a doubt. It seems to be an amazing device for its size. (see the picture on in the link that shoes it next to an eGo 1000mah and eGo 650mah). It has all the same features as the ProVari (regulated output, ten second protection, reverse battery protection, low power warning, atomizer resistance check, display battery power and something the provari doesn't have, 510/eGo compatability for everything but the kanger t2 & t3). Also, the colors look amazing!

It uses a 14500 battery so it will more than likely last you all day (a 18650 AW IMR battery lasts me about 1 1/2 days using a 3.0ohm carto tank @ 4.3-5.0 volts

    NEW Rider ROBUST 14500 Variable Voltage 3.0-6.0v - BLUE [gv-ROBUST14500-BLUE] - $49.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Personally, I think the Blue is the best and the Red one looks awesome too!

I have an old maxi rough stack that I have rigged with a home made switch for a back up. I plan to get an anodized bolt to replace it. You don't want the rough stack, but I mention it because the size it right, and the bolt is just about the same size.

I want a BOLT and a kick to try out VW but I think the Rider Robust is perfect for what the OP wants. The BOLT is almost the same size as the ProVari. The Rider Robust is a little tiny bit bigger than a 1000mah eGo and it has the exact features the provari has (meaning it is much better than the twist/spinner). It uses a 14500 so it should last a day of vaping (meaning 12 hours. I personally don't vape for 24 hours lol).

    robust_1.jpg
Left: 1000mah eGo, Middle: Rider Robust 14500 VV, Right: 650mah eGo

Again, it has every feature the ProVari has but it can also use any 510/eGo attachment other than the Kanger t2 & T3 (base is too wide on those 2)
