Looking for a small mod

So my roommate wants to get into vaping but wants something much shorter/smaller than my zmax w/ 18650 & kayfun. Having gone through the various loops with atties, I want him to have the best experience, which for me has been my kayfun clones. I can build & install a microcoil in a heartbeat, and simply show him how to re-wick it with cotton as needed and, unlike anything else I've tried, these things can actually survive the pocket without turning into a gurgling flooding mess which is a critical factor in this case. Catch is, they're pretty dang tall, so I'm looking for a mod that would pair up and still remain realistically small.

Any recommendations on a short mod? VV/VW devices all seem a too big, so I'm thinking perhaps a mech that can house a kick w/ an 18350 might fit the bill. I don't know what can and can't be kicked, but a few that caught my eye are the k100, the v2, and the caravela.

Hmmm... Pisces T or its clone (the Kylin from Hcigar) is pretty small.

The Astro by Kato is tiny in 350 mode and also telescoping so you can get a kick in there. Only slight drawback is that it's 23mm so the kayfun won't be flush.

Nemesis is very small is 18350 mode, and is a made in heaven match for that dang kayfun(not to dismay you, Im like the one random dude who doesnt get along with the Kayfun)

Tree of Life mod, also tiny. quickly becoming very loved by me.. Im so glad I bought it.

but my smallest 18350 mech, is my Stingray. I mean, compare those three, and they're all very similar.. the Stingray just happens to be the tiniest of the three.

Worth mentioning that, 18490 mode is small too. But, all those mechs come with the tubes to run whatever size you want. The only one, is the Tree of life, which if you want the big 18650 tube, is seperate.


18350, bottom button mechs, are all small. Keep in mind the rare exception, but otherwise, they're all small. I was really surprised when I opened my Nemesis for the first time. Couldnt believe how tiny it was. For ME, too tiny. With a Kayfun it'd be ok, but with a dripper, it'd be too small for me.

GP Paps SS/Lux. 60mm in 18350 mode.
Pisces T / Kylin clone, ~68.5mm in 18490 mode. Give or take a little depending on battery and atty. It's telescopic.

Personally, I'd take a 18490 over a kicked 18350 any day.

Thanks for the replies. I have a Nemesis that should be arriving in a couple days(ordered for myself a few weeks back) so I'll have a chance to see how short it gets, see what my roomie thinks, and perhaps consider options from there.

the cool part of the nemesis is it comes with a kick ring so you can mix and match tubes for kicked or unkicked in any battery size. i love mine running a kick and has become one of my most used vw mods lol

Would a provari mini be to big? I know most of yall are talking mechs on here now but if you wanted a vv mod thats small the mini is considerably smaller than other vv mods out there. Plus it's tough.

yeah the provari mini IS small. Heck, the regular provari is small considering vamos and teslas and such.

The sidewinder is a great start to a 'smaller mod' and it is a beast. But a good vw/vv mod non mech would be the mvp 2.0 by far. It's cheap and it is a beast as most people know.

Don't forget the old spice mod (Caravela or it's 1:1 clone). One of the smallest mechs I've seen in 18350 mode.

Atmizoo Roller with kayfun and nano kit with shorty drip tip. 5 13/16" tall in 18650 mode. 4 7/8" in 18350 mode.

The lavafire lock v4 is the smallest mod in 350 mode by far....it is 60mm. It works flawlessly out of the box and the locking feature is superb. It is basically a Titan mod clone. I am surprised no one ever mentions this mod in the forums.

Far smaller than the Paps at 60mm or the Astro at 59mm?(Sorry couldn't resist )The Provari Mini may be small for a 18350 VV mod, but still it's slightly taller than a Pisces T with a 18650 battery.

I just made a short firing pin for my brass nemesis; It now stands 61mm w/ a button top.
My stock pin SS Nemesis stands 63 mm.
