^dang, i was really digging the telescope. so they're crap because the button is essentially held to the body with a plastic tube right? I am really wanting something that I will be able to find replacement parts for. i know they're fairly cheap mods, but i just want something I can use every now and again, and if i need a new spring or something i'll be able to replace it instead of buying a new one. the quest continues...any more advice? suggestions?

There is currently a co-op going for the EA Mod from Finland (actually, this co-op is closed and awaiting delivery, but a second round is in the planning stage) It may be out of your price range, but this is a beautiful mechanical telescope mod that will accept up to an 18650 with a Kick!; I got one in the first round and it should be delivered next week (they're already in-country!).

AVOID the smok Telescope.....the locking ring/button is very dodgy, more and more reports of it falling apart, or the fire button shaft breaking.

Well, I would say avoid the v1 mech telescope from SMOK. The v2 is a different beast entirely. The rebuild-able one, doesn't have plastic in the switch other than the insulator. It's a different construction to the original telescope. I have 2 (SS) of them and LOVE 'em. The cool part is that the head is removable as well. I am hoping they make a flat top head instead of all these damn provari knock off tapered style heads. These new ones don't have the same wobble problem with 18650s, will fit a kick in 18650 mode (a couple threads will peek thru), work with 18350s (some of the old ones didn't screw down all the way), and button is sturdier and has no plastic pin.

I'm primarily a genny tank user (AC9), so I am NOT a fan of that GG style pinky switch. I much prefer a bottom switch. And as much as I am not a fan of this SMOK telescope's look, I much prefer it to that unsightly marital aid look of the TEC Mod.

This is a great mech mod and totally worth the price. You can get it a couple bucks cheaper here at Madvapes.

I fail to understand what is "rebuildable" about OP's first post.

I mean. What. It's mechanical. It's a tube and a button. it shouldn't NEED rebuilding. I'm starting to think they're slapping rebuildable on anything e-cig related the same way etsy sellers will call anything steampunk.

In any case I bought this and I'm quite pleased with it, and the price point is excellent.

THANK YOU! i thought the v2 had been fixed, that made my decision for me, I will be getting the telescope. I really like the price as well as the fact that it's stainless.

The rebuildable parts include the top connector, and the switch. those are all parts that can have issues, and if they do, down the road I can buy replacements for them Orobas...
