This is my 1st mechanical and first time trying sub ohms.
Aparently no one wants to read my thread that turned into 3 pages. That thread got me this far though (thanks):
Battery: I'm getting these Sony 30A green batteries with a Nitecore i2 charger: $11.76 Sony US18650VTC3 18650 1600mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) 2-pack - 30A discharge at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I don't know what to enter for the max watts my coil builds will allow when I use an ohms law calculator, although I'm almost certain there won't be a problem because everyone raves about these doing like .2ohm, and I'll probably be around .6. I found charts that show the 30A Sony aparently pushing like 80 Watts, but no defined #.
MOD: I read that an inline fuse plus a hot spring would stop the spring from collapsing if it gots too hot, so I'm going to omit buying a fuse and get one with a hot spring. I prefer it to be just stainless and/or aluminum, and not plated or brass etc.
I looked through all the Fasttech MODs for ones with springs, hoping they're hot spring. I assume the springs in sideways buttons don't count as safety springs, and I don't think sideways buttons can even be locked by unscrewring the nut that prevents the button being pushed like some have.
Out of these linked, which are all I found with springs, which have a hot spring and also the firing button can be physically locked to prevent misuse? I also want vent holes, but can drill them if needed. Someone mentioned Aluminum 510 threads are a no no. And, the switch can be scratchy on many mods. Watch out for low quality metal to metal moving switch parts which can wear and become sticky.

$17.46 Telescope-II Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Can remove plastic ring over k100 spring to make it a hot spring?
$19.15 K100 Style Mechanical Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment - blue at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$18.84 Swordsman Mechanical Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment - deep blue / telescoping at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$12.71 Private V2 Telescoping Mech Mod E-Cigarette Battery Compartment at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Edit: Suprisingly looks like only this last one ^ whch probably has no venting and two of the sigeili #3 clones (telescope w/ vent) I linked are the only ones with springs and a fire button that can be physically locked. Unless the K100 can remove the plastic ring for a hot spring effect. Just making sure before I buy anything, which will probably be a Telescope.
2nd Edit: Two of the 4 Telescopes I linked have springs, but one has the spring at the top near the 510. That would stop it from working as a hot spring, right? So, are these the only FT MOD that has what I'm asking for?: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005189/1408900-telescope-mechanical-mod-e-cigarette-battery
http://www.fasttech.com/products/14...elescope-5-mechanical-mod-e-cigarette-battery
Here's all the FT MODs in case I missed something. Maybe some have hot springs hidden in the firing button that I can't see in the photos or something. 228 Electronic Cigarettes (Product Type: Mod / Battery Compartment) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Thanks.
