Since the Sony US18650VTC5 2600mAh 30amp batteries are sold out everywhere (for awhile now), does anyone have any suggestions for batteries that are on par or close to being as good as these? I'm waiting for my new IPV2S to come in the mail and I wanted to get something safe, and long lasting. Suggestions are extremely appreciated :D Thanks guys!

If you need a 30a CDR battery;
Orbtronic sx30 2100mah 30a CDR.
Sony VTC4 2100mah 30a CDR.
Xtar 2100mah 30a CDR - re wrapped vtc4.

20a CDR batteries;
AW 1600mah 24a CDR.
Orbtronic sx22 2000mah 22a CDR
AW 2200mah 20A CDR.
LG he2 2500mah 20a cdr
Samsung 25r 2500mah 20a CDR.

As mah increases CDR decreases, no way around it.
Only buy batteries from reputable vendors / dealers to avoid the many fakes of known quality cells the re wrapped lesser quality cells labeled with false ratings and the flat out marketing hype rated batteries.

I have had good luck out of SUBOHMCELL batteries I picked up a couple of them at a shop when I was visiting Phoenix AZ a month or so ago.
It is supposed to be 2800mah 35amp...

I've seen very little information about this battery and I admit I am a complete skeptic about it. It's INR chemistry which makes me think it's a Samsung product.

I highly doubt that subohmcell actually manufacturers this battery and so that leads me to believe it's a re-wrap. As there are currently no 2800mAh 35 amp continuous cells out there (at least that I know of), I just have a hard time with the claims for this battery.

I'm not saying it's a bad battery by the way, only that I don't know enough about it to make a decision if it's a safe battery for me

OP - VTC4's are a great choice, don't be put off because they are 'only' 2100mAh. They are great batteries. Just make sure you buy them from a reputable vendor and not Ebay.

Thanks Shade. Susan posted a few reputable battery retailers for me, Ill either go through Orbtronics or RTD Vapor.

If you are listening to advice from Susan about batteries and vendors, you're on the right track :thumb:

I've used both vendors you mentioned and am completely happy giving my hard-earned cash to either of them.

Definitely go with the Xtar VTC4's. They really are legit Sony's just rewrapped and they added what I believe is a fuse to the top or bottom that makes it about 1mm taller than normal Sony's. So I know they will fit in the iPV2 because I use them in mine. But they don't fit in the Sigelei 100w. They work in my telescoping mech mod but I don't know about fixed size mechs. Just letting you know incase you're going to be using it with multiple mods.

Ya I went with the actual Sony VTC4's and I got myself a Nitecore i4 Charge for 13 bucks. I was recommended the charge by a friend because of its ability to self adjust charging, independent charging bays, and auto charging shut off when charging is complete. its on sale on orbtronics atm. It's a good charger I'm assuming?

There are others that many consider 'better', but for the price, it's a great charger. I had my i4 for a year with no issues (until I spilled adult beverage and it got into the board) and paid $22 for it.

I replaced it with the D4, but I would have no hesitation in buying the i4 again, especially for $13.
