Hi, I got an EVOD set for my mom. Problem is when she unscrews the EVOD tank it is easy to hold it in the wrong way so instead of taking of the tank she unscrews the coil and opens the tank. In other words the coil is till attached to the battery and the top of the tank is off so all the liquid spills down her hands. That is not good as nicotine is poisonous and absorbs through the skin. Of course one could just be mindful and unscrew it in the right way, but it is an easy mistake to do, and I have also done it myself a couple of times. Do you have any recomendations for any "idiot proof" mizers that don't have this problem?

I agree on the ViVi nova, I like mine quite well. I've also found the CE4s to be quite easy to fill and you don't have to do it upside down. To make it even easier, you might want to get her a plastic bottle with a needle on it so she just unscrews the drip tip, sticks the needle in the side and gives it a squeeze and screw the top back on.

Getting the same juice that you vape with no problem on your hands, is not dangerous. Just go wash your hands, and you'll be fine.

Caveats:
  • If you don't wash your hands, you might get dizzy and/or nauseated.
  • If someone who doesn't smoke or vape nicotine, get juice with nicotine on their hands, it might be more serious. Wash hands immediately.

But getting juice of the strength that you're already accustomed to, on your hands? No big problem, as long as you wash it off again. If you do it a couple of times, you'll probably be annoyed enough to learn to be more careful, that's all.

A top fill clearo is definitely the way to go.

I know that bottom coil clearos are all the rage, but there is nothing at all wrong with a top coil clearo. They produce great vapor and generally produce better flavor than a bottom coil does. Their only real downside is you have to adopt a tilt and twirl technique to keep the wicks wet when the tank gets low.

But, you can't get much easier than "unscrew the top cap, fill to the Full Line, and screw the top cap back on".

How old is Mom? I'm 64 and, after the first few days, have so far not had a problem with the Evod clearos. It was a bit of a learning curve, since we had been using cigalikes for almost 2 years. Sit down with her, and go over things with her. The tip about the blunt needle tip bottles is a good one - until we got a couple, I did have a tendency to get some eliquid in the center hole. Made kind of a mess. Now it is almost automatic - when I go to change the battery or add eliquid to the tank, I take a square of paper towel, put it under the drip tip, turn the whole unit upside down in my left hand, unscrew battery with my right hand, unscrew base, fill the tank, and screw everything back together.
