I'll be opening my online store soon and I would love to do Featured Artist cases. I have contacted 2 anime artists (waiting to hear back) and have one photographer signed up (he did the cool rainbow vapor case).

I will have a section called the Artist Series. Each artist/photographer will have a case with their work on it, a short bio (optional) and a link back to their artwork portfolio at the site of their choice. This could give lots of exposure, plus the coolness of having your work carried around by a bunch of vapers!

Looking for cool things like graffiti art, fantasy art, sci-fi art, vapor art, anime, dragons, magic, demons, angels, pin-up girls, gothic art, etc.

The work would have to be cropped to be 7" x 2" and 5" x 2", but would otherwise be unchanged.

Thanks!!

I'd enjoy participating. Not many photographs are actually shot with the 7x2 or 5x2 format in mind and so I will have a look and see if I have some that will work beautifully in those formats.

I've been a professional photographer for 35+ years but only went to the "darkside" (digital) 5 or 6 years ago otherwise we could have had images from Australia, Alaska, Africa - lots of animals.

Anyway, what dpi (300) would you prefer these in at those sizes?
Would I have them at a location on my website or would you prefer to have them on yours?

Right now I have immediate access to flowers and gardens from last season and that current Number One favorite, snow!!!! lol

I'm taking a higher dpi in order to get a sharp, quality print.

I understand most aren't shot in that format - all of the cases are actually cropped bits out of larger photographs. I would need you to email it to me, so I can crop it for the case, then tell me how you want me to link to your other work.

Take this before and after of the rainbow vapor and you can see how I do it:

Does it have to be from an artist? I dabble with Photoshop and could come up with some nice stuff if you'd like. Maybe for a series of "pretty decent" stuff in addition to the planned "Artist" series? Besides size constraints are there any other peramaters? Can the printing include metallics? What colors are the cases (i.e. not the "art" area) available in?

Oh, and will customization (like putting buyers name on) be offered?

A lot of art is done in photoshop these days. Absolutely. The cases come in brushed gold or silver. I'll be printing them off of my inkjet printer on a specialized paper.

I will have a monogram case. If the design makes a good background for it, I may offer it. Check out the examples on the other thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-bottle-cases-vapeboxz-com-3.html#post1088644

You might want to list your email addy here. I know it is on the other thread but some of us get lazy:)

Don't know if I have anything you are interested in but I will email a link for you to check out.

Excellent. My shots are all a lot higher than 300dpi.

What I "hear" you saying is that you would prefer to take bits and pieces to make the format and designs you want. That works for me.

Where do I send some images for you to take a look at?

I have a number of photos and paintings from the past 20 plus years of digital art. Some I think would work well. Where do we submit them?

Demmi

The best thing would be to upload them to photobucket or a simliar site and PM me the link. Check the examples I posted in the link above to get an idea of what I'm looking for.

When I was searching images for the other cases, I tried to keep them above 600 X 400, so I could play with the sizes to get just the right area to crop and keep a higher resolution.

I'm so excited to be getting responses - this is fun!

This one may work:

I would probably crop it like this:

It would probably look cool photoshopped in watercolor or oil, too!

Wasn't that ripped from google images? Not that I care, But if it was, does anyone know if google images can be ripped and used on a website? In designing my website I always wonder about infringement.
