Hey guys,
I was wondering about any suggestions for best analog look alike ecig. I was looking into the Joye 306, but wondered if any other suggestions. I was also wondering about what are good sites to buy liquids or prefilled flavour cartridges. Id like to have places that over low nicotine or 0mg. Also whats easier Cartridges or Cartomizers? Sorry for all the newbish questions just wanna make sure I get the right things is all. Also I was wondering is do you guys think blu, or volcano would work for a social smoker ? Thanks in advance

You say you're a social smoker, so I'm assuming you want something that "blends in." I was on a quest for just the same thing. I even had to have the red LED. So I'll give you some suggestions based on my experience.

BLU/Volcano/l88b- I have the volcano, which is the same as the BLU. I didn't like this unit at first, it just didn't pack a punch like I was used to with my analog cigarettes that I smoked. It has a very nice charger pack that comes with it, it is small and it definitely looks like a traditional cigarette. Recently, I bought some 306 cartomizers for it and I have to tell you, it is nice. I really like it with those on it and I do take it with me now at times.

M401/2/3- This model has about the same size and look of the l88b, my kit came with a charger pack also. The different numbers reflect the different size batteries. An M401 is the longest, the M402 is the medium size, and the M403 is the shortest. As you can imagine, the size also reflects the length of time the battery last's. I recommend this model. It produces nice vapor, TH, and flavor. This is one of my favorite models of analog type super mini ecigs.

Joye 306- This is another super mini ecig that is small, works good and produces flavor, TH, and very good vapor. This particular unit is lower on my list because the parts are a lot harder to find. (although, it is interchangable with the 510)

KR808D-1 This is the unit that I actually started with and got me off of analogs. Along with cartomizers. This is the unit that I always end up coming back to also. (in a social environment)

I still use all of the PV models I have mentioned when I'm out and about, in social environments. (The volcano, only with the 306 cartomizers)

When I'm home, I usually use my eGO's/Riva's and my shiny new Boge LEO.

Aren't you co-owner of that company, married to Erin?
Also you should be registered as a affiliate or supplier.

Huh? dude i just quit smoking and started vaping 2 and a half weeks ago.

i'm not a supplier or an affiliate. Just a new vaporer with the "new to vaping bug" so i'm obsessed.

If you mean really looks like a cigarette, same diameter and length, it's right is the New Members sticky threads - the Library link.

Joye 306
or
M402 and its longer battery M401

I haven't tried a Joye 306 - they seem a bit harder to find as starter kits though I think their attys are popular for mods.

I own manual M402's and plan to get manual M401's too for the longer battery life.

Most people here will probably try to talk you out of a small PV and steer you into something larger. But if you really want something truly cigarette sized those are probably two of your best choices.

I was a 1.5-2 PAD smoker for decades and I smoked lights the last decade. I was not a hard dragger - I took my time and enjoyed cigarettes. The M402 works fine for me. I don't think it would satisfy my boss who sucks down full strength analogs in 3 hard drags. M402 battery life is decent for me the way I vape which is about an analog's-worth every 15 minutes and I get about 3 hours of battery life. if you vaped constantly it wouldn't last very long. M402 battery is 150mah. The M401 battery is 210mah. There is also a really short M403 battery but it's only available as automatic batteries.

Overall length w/ M401 battery: 109mm (4.3in) (like a 110 cigarette)
Overall length w/ M402 battery: 96mm (3.8in) (between a king and a 110 cigarette)
Overall length w/ M403 battery: 86mm

Main downside of the M4xx - small cartridges, and you need a paper clip to push up the inner cart to refill or top off.
Main upside - great taste (especially with blue foam put in carts instead of the original fiberfill), good battery life for a small PV

Just FTR, flagreekguy joined on 11-24-2010 and posted a new introduction thread. He has also posted several posts where he has mentioned buying products from several vendors that are not the one in question here. I can't find any other post where he mentioned or promoted donttouchmybutt.com.

With that being said, his information says he is from Orlando and donttouchmybutt.com is in Lake Wales FL. So, I could see how someone might think there was a relation IF there was some other link going on. But, I don't see any other link or reason to believe that there is any relation.

Before calling someone out openly, there should be a little research and a friendly private message to the person to clarify the situation and remind them of the forum rules if needed.

Now back to the original topic.

theVaporRook - you also asked cartos versus carts

carts - require a separate atty, have to be filled or topped off much more often, can be reused forever with washing and new stuffing - blue foam stuffing is good (the atty is what eventually burns out and needs replacing, even with regular cleaning), nice for trying a bunch of different bottled juices (if you put in "blue foam mod" stuffing, the stuffing is easier to rinse, press dry, and replace. IMO - more like dragging on a cigarette - resists your draw a bit, cool to slightly warm on your lips like a filter is. Can be filled with a dropper bottle (some models like M401 need a paperclip to push up the inner cart for filling).

cartos - are a cartridge and atty in one piece, eventually burn out (meant to be disposable), hold a lot more juice than a cart. I think lots of prefilled flavors can be found for some mini PV models like KR808D-1 and 510. Needs a syringe to fill and a paperclip to remove the mouth-end cap (and inner cap depending on model and filling technique). To me, cartos are less like the drag of a cigarette, a looser draw and hotter on your lips. Can be rejuvenated some with cleaning but if the filling gets burnt or internal atty is shot, you throw it out.

When I started (which was only about 3 or 4 weeks ago) I was the same way. I wanted something that was just like a cigarette: small, compact, and felt and looked just like one. I got the Blu and the Joye 510. Didn't really like the Blu because it leaked e-juice out the cart most of the time. Really like the 510 but the batteries don't last. I sit in front of a computer at work most all day so the Joye 510 with the passthrough works great for me. Considering getting a Provape1 very soon mostly for weekends when I'm outside working or on the go.

My very first e-cig was a Njoy Npro (RN4081). They are a little pricier than other rn4081 brands but I bought it in May 2009 and the same batts and atty it came with still work and produce great vapor. It is still being used too, I gave it to a friend I converted and she loves it.
I can't recommend other cigarette looking pv's cause I've only used the Njoy before moving up to a 510.

As for carts/cartos and juice....I can only recommend my personal preferences. I get more vapor from attys, I use a drip tip and direct drip on the atty. and juice......Vaporbomb. great prices, great customer service, delicious juice, fast shipping.....what else can I say?

I had a vapor king 510 that worked real well. I still use it as a back up, or when my egos are charging. I like the fact that I can use all my components on my vapor king, and my ego.

The automatic batteries work ok, but I fould I like the manual ones are better. You can control the hit better, but its hard to hold the manual ones like an analog while vaping, but it can be done to be stealthy if necessary, but it sounds like you dont want to be stealty, you want it just to look like the real thing. Just make sure to have a total of 4 batteries, and a couple of chargers, other wise you will feel like you are always charging batteries.

Hey VapourRook,
Your view of what an ecig should be will change in a short time of using it. Most of us went through it already. I'll give you two weeks with an analog looking device before you decide you need something more (like an eGo). And then, a few months later, you'll be looking for a mod type upgrade. Ohhh wait a minute, I'm talking about myself. Never mind!

I'll be straight up with you and say that IMO a good performing analog type e-cig is an oxy..... However, if you must, myvaporstore has a better price on KR808D1 kits than most. You can get it here. I'll also recommend you get a PCC and a passthrough to go with it. About the only thing that might be better is a Bloog Max Fusion but, last I heard they were out of stock.

Can anyone tell me why the word oxym0r0n get's censored.
