Hello fellow vapers, this is my first post and I wish to start by thanking you all for the awesome information you have provided me.

My query is this: I have approximately $75 to spend, and having done a little research I know that I want a Stainless Steel Variable Voltage battery with digital readout. I am asking the community for opinion on what would be the best option for me and where to get it.

I will continue my own research while I await reply. Thank You.

I have heard good things about the Vamo being a good "bang for the buck" mod. I just wish FastTech was a little quicker on the shipping. I know you wanted an LED screen but the Sigelei's are really nice too. You would have to add a kick to make it perform like a VV/VW mod though, so not exactly what you were asking about.

Zmax, K200, SID, SVD, MVP (box apv), Lambo 4.0 all match your criteria, plus there are maybe another 30 out there that have not been mentioned.

A Vamo V2 or V3 is hard to beat for price and features, esp if you are ordering from Fasttech (Julopy has a link to one with a good quality charger and batteries)

Excellent information! Naturally, answers lead to more questions:

My friend has decided that he is going to purchase a Lavatube V2. He is currently vaping a SmokTech SID and we are both looking for something a little more advanced.

How does the SS Vamo V2 compare to the LavaTube? since that seems to have similar features, is getting the most props, is much less expensive than the Lavatube, and it looks really cool.

I have an older lavatube...it does what it is suppose to... I am getting a I taste MVP just for the versatility alone. It. Its a integrated battery. Will work as a passthrough, will charge my cellphone if needed, and comes with a iclear30.... I've seen them for sale for 60 bucks. You can throw some juice into the mix for your price point and your vapping!

Vamo is far and away the best bang for the buck. Go with the SS V2 over the V3 which does not yet come in SS.

Anyone-even me-might like any of the other mods suggested. Right now I'm in love with my new iTaste MVP, am anxiously awaiting a Zmax and another mod in vapemail.

But even after i get them, i'm convinced the Vamo will remain the best bang for the buck.

EDIT: get the Vamo from Fasttech

One more question: the V3 comes in only 510 connection, does that mean it has both sets of threads from an ego, or I would have to get an adapter to fit my MT3 tank? which connects to both sets of threads on my ego batt.

Dwallin: My primary reason for wanting SS is to reduce the showing of fingerprints. If i were to get the silver finish of the V3 would it perform the same? As with this purchase i want to get as advanced of a device as possible, the aesthetics of the device are secondary to me, though i didnt mention it in my earlier post. Unless there is a design flaw differentiating the two...
With both being so far under budget, i feel like going with the more advanced version would be in my best interest as it has more features than the Lavatube I was previously looking at (Lavatube is only VV not VW near as i can tell from reading the specs), and the OLED screen is very attractive to me.

Get the v2 ss with nitecore charger and panisonic batteries. Ans a 510 adapter for a buck something. Fasttech is great.

brock is wise.

the SS with Panasonics (the only battery i would buy from Fasttech) and the nitecore (perhaps the only charger i would trust from china) is an amazing deal.

>If i were to get the silver finish of the V3 would it perform the same?

Clouds-- First of all the V3 is not yet in SS. Probably will be sooner ot later tho. Vamo aside, ALWAYS choose SS over any other option. And yes, the non-SS finishes are both fingerprint magnets and will wear off shortly.

Second- at least one US seller has issued a warning or recall on the V3, I believe. Pretty sure i read that yesterday. That may or may not mean something. Vamo's are made by a dozen or so different unnamed Chinese manufacturers. Vamo is like the "open source" of mods. That said, I'd hold off the V3 a bit just for that reason until it gets sorted out.

Third- The V3 got rid of the optional way to measure volts and only offers RMS. That is a good thing. Also a very minor thing that can be accomplished with a few button presses in the V2. I may be forgetting something, but i think that's the major tecno improvement over the V3. yawn...

Fourth- the V3 is ....-ugly compared to the V2, IMHO. What were they thinking??? :)

I may be biased but i bought both my V2's from Fasttech after seeing the V3.

And... if you are nervous about buying from Fasttech in China, i can only say i wish US vendors had even a portion of Fasttech's customer support.

cheers
