fasttech has both the batteries suggested super cheap I haven't used the 18650b's but I have the 18650pf's and they are great batteries. fasttech has 2 for 12 dollars and they come in a nice plastic case. I have a zmax v2 and flattops are fine, they are fine for all the zmax versions as long as they are segelei zmaxs I dont know about the smok zmaxs. The 18650pf's last about two days per charge.

Panasonic 18650B 3.7v 3400mAh and you can get them flat or button top.

I don't recommend the above batteries for a VV regulated mod. These and the Panasonic NCR18650A 3100 mah batteries are hybrid batteries with their chemistry heavily weighted to the ICR end of the spectrum. They are not a high drain battery, have high internal resistance, and have a low amp limit, so they might as well be considered an ICR battery.

Regulated mods require a high drain battery with low internal resistance, and at least 10 amps CDR for optimal performance for their PWM (pulse width modulation) buck boost circuitry.

Hey everyone...need your help again.. so i bought IMR 18650 2000mah 3.7v High Drain Li-mn Rechargeable Battery with Button Top for my sigelei zmax v3... and i have to have to charge these things like twice a day :?:.. i also have the sigelei batteries that came with it.. i swear these efests and those are the same.. im looking for better... suggestions please... 18650's for my zmax v3 and my husbands vamo..

Jess, I was having the same problem with the Sigelei 18650 batts that came with my Zmax V5 (as well as not being able to get it to fire at more than about 1/3 or it's advertised power!) so I purchased some IMR 18650 30A Orbtronic SX30 Ultra High Drain Hybrids direct from Orbtronic's site. My V5 is now kicking some SERIOUS vapes and even though I double vape every hit for the full 10 seconds the Zmax will allow before the protection circuit kicks in, I'm still getting 500+ vapes from one fully charged battery according to the Zmax's counter. They were a tiny bit pricey at $13.55 each, BUT why buy such a nice MOD and not power it appropriately!?!?

The proof. The Zmax V5 has been vaping this stock 1.5ohm dual coil iClear at about 6 watts and *just* dropped as I hit 600 vapes (a full 10 seconds each!) on one charge of the Orbtronic SX30 18650 high Drain 30A hybrid which is (only) rated at 2100mAh. People, that's 6000 seconds total button time!!! :vapor::D:2c:
