Hello all....hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. My partner and I were thinking of opening an E cig store here in the Pacific Northwest. From what I can tell there is no other here in our area. After messing around with a couple different minnies, we want to make sure that we carry only the best quality e cigs and accessories available. We've tried 51 Trio, Smoking Everywhere and a brand called Vaporpro and didn't find anything that we would like to sell yet. I've been lurking here in forum and know that there is no "One all be all" out there. We've about made up our mind of what devices to start selling except what model minnies we want to offer.

For other Northwest vapers.......Do you feel a a brick and mortar e cig store would be beneficial? We are thinking of the Tacoma, WA area or Tri Cities, WA area.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Gary

Well, you've already checked out models I would suggest not to carry. Of the minis, I recommend either or both of the two most popular models among ECFers: the Kr8 and the Joye 510. I described them in this May 2010 comparative review: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html. And Mistress Nomad demonstrates both models in this video:

  • The two-piece Kr8 (with its availability of so many flavors of prefilled "cartomizers") is so simple and easy for a new vaper to start with. [I recommend the automatic switch version.]

  • The three-piece 510 requires filling with e-liquid, but produces more vapor and is just so well-liked by most (not all) people who have used it. [Virtually everyone would recommend the manual switch version of this model.] And also stock some Joye 306 atomizers (fully compatible with the 510).
You might want to consider offering the Kr8 and (instead of the 510) a "Fat Batt" (what I call the eGO-types). The Fat Batts are not longer than the minis (although they are wider) and they have far more staying power or "mAh" (milliamp hours: determines how frequently the battery needs to be recharged). And they enable all different kinds of configurations: bigger batteries, low-resistance atomizers, mega atomizers/cartridges, mega cartomizers, etc. Great for repeat business. I describe many of the Fat Batts in this article.

You might want to pose your second question (directed to Pacific NW vapers) in another ECF forum, in order to reach a wider potential audience of targeted respondents. NW Steampunks seems apt.

BTW, an e-cig 108-118 mm in length is called a "Mini"; "Minnie" is Mickey's girlfriend.;-)
