Hello Reonauts. Been awhile as I've been hanging out on e-liquid discussion boards. Someone just informed me she always uses Boge Cartos with her Mini. Seems like a good idea, but i have a few questions and was hoping someone here could help.
1) what cartos will fit the female 510 threads inside the juice cup ?
2) do you have to use a 'syrynge' or can you just 'squonk' the carto to fill it ?
3) if you've used cartos, which do you prefer ?
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks Papaw

Any 510 carto will fit in the REOs. I used to use Boge 2.0 cartos and loved them. Then the Smoktech 1.7 shorties came out and I liked them better. I used dual-coil cartos for awhile and didn't see much about them that was "special"....but they worked. Any 510 carto will work. You just squonk to fill it. I always filled mine first, then squonked to keep them wet, but people do it both ways. Just make sure it's good and wet before you fire it.

Cartos are really, really handy on a REO.

Thanks for all the good advise. One last question : Do these cartos come with a mouthpiece or do I use the same drip tip from my atty ?

Most cartomizers use a regular 510 drip tip with no problem! Just pop out the little rubber/plastic top and insert your drip tip!

OK, I checked out CCV. Neat that they would include syringe & needle. The clear ones are probably the way I'm leaning. Just one last thought- I tend to 'rotate flavors' using as many as five a day. Since these cartos have a 'filler' element, I'll might need one for each liquid (and a labelling machine 'cause I'm gatting old). Does that sound right ?

Yes. That sounds about right. I used to put a rubberband around the carto and the bottle of juice that belonged together so that I didn't have to try to clean a carto. A cheaper solution than a labelling machine is to go to the dollar store and get those tiny little colored rubberbands.....they're meant for little girls' hair....braids and such. They're the perfect size to fit and you can color code your cartos.

The reason they include a syringe and needle is because you have these 2 tiny little holes in them to fill them. The "needle" is a flexible plastic thing that goes in the hole. It is kinda tricky ant the needle wears out quickly from flexing. This won't be a problem on a REO, since they are bottom fed, but they are perhaps not the best option on a bottom feeder.

For one, you have to use a plastic drip tip so you don't crack em. For two, they get nasty looking quick with juice and look kinda unsanitary? For three, there are many other great metal options (some listed above) out there that are probable better suited to a REO.

Yes, different flavors would probably warrant a carto be switched with the flavor.

A lot of people love the super shorty cartos. DH and I didn't but I can't remember why.

I don't like the Boge 2.0 as they are two cool for me and I prefer everything about the Smoketech reg and XL for several reasons. The Smoketech LR 5-pack range from 1.7-2.0 ohm. I started using the Smoketech over a year ago and in the beginning most of the cartos in 5 pack were less than 2.0 ohm but last few months most in 5 pack have been closer to 2.0 ohm. Cartons labeled 2.0 range 2.0-2.2. That is just too cool for me and DH, on a non VV REO, and he likes his vape cooler than I.

Clearos..... The plastic tube comes off easily. They tend to become dislodged when carrying them in pocket, Boob purse, or any area of purse including dedicated pocket. Plastic tube usually doesn't become separated enough to break the wires but it does happen. But they will easily come off and break wires when REO is dropped and hits floor a certain way (most ways) or if you are driving and hit a bump in road while vaping.

Dual coil...... I like them a lot but only on VVG or VVW.

I dug up this old thread as I just got my SMOK 'Ressurector' CCV 1.7 Cartos. They really seem to produce good vapor, and the flavor even seems slightly better. Just a question; I usually 'blind squonk' as being a trucker it's better if I keep my eyes on the road. After removing plastic seal at top, filling from bottle (patiently) and inserting drip-tip, I've been 'blind' squonking until there seems to be resistance on the draw, then firing the carto. Does this sound about right ? Or am I about to fry the carto ? seems like it's keeping full by blind squonking until draw gets 'tight', but what do I know ?

Sounds just "peachy" to me. After a while you will "feel" when to squonk. Also, you'll know when you over squonk as it will be a little gurgly and cooler. Once you do burn it there's no going back or recovery; need a new one. One of the beauties of the cartos is they are so cheap. I used to do all kinds of cleaning methods but at such a low cost tossing them was cheaper, when DH was on road, than the time spent cleaning only to get only so-so results. Most of 2012, the ones I used here at home, after I cleaned the cartos they went into emergency container. Now, with RBAs, I just tossed all those.

Glad you are enjoying them.
