Im looking to purchase my first VV device and I am looking for suggestions. Not looking to break the bank being my first and learning how to use.

So far Ive looked at the Vision Spinner and a Lavatube VV350 maybe?? but just wanted to get some suggestions on a firstie.

Also is there certain ohm coils that I should or shouldnt use in my clearos or cartos?

Hi 2kwik!

I've never tried a Spinner, but I've recently purchased a Lavatube and a Vamo. I'm thrilled with both of them, but for a first device I would suggest the Vamo.

The Vamo is more versatile than the Lavatube because you will be able to use ego style clearomizers without an adapter with it. You will also be able to use a Vamo in mini mode with an 18350 battery, and the Vamo will take either flat-top or button-top batteries while the Lavatube can only use the button-tops. The Vamo is also considerably less expensive.

2.0 to 2.5 ohm coils should be fine to use with any of these devices up to about 5 volts. If you want higher voltage, then go for 3 ohm coils.

Happy vaping, and welcome to ECF. :)

I have an eGo Twist that is great but I barely use it cuz I am addicted to my VV APV the Detonator box mod from Mr. ELiquid. It is amazing with a carto tank and easy to use. A beginner-friendly mod. I am not techie by any stretch but I love this thing. Great vapor production and no drop off as batteries get discharged. You have to purchase a separate charger and batteries but you only need 4 batteries (2 at a time) cuz they last about 12 hrs of fairly heavy vaping. I use it at 3.9V and found that was my happy place.

i would go with a Vamo for about $40-$60 depending on where you get it. cheaper and better then the spinner or lavatube IMO.
if you want to spend alittle more and have a little bit nicer device then get a sigelei Zmax (or a smok zmax if you dont mind the older screen)
and if you just want the best built and will probably last you forever device get a provari.
i have all of them and i have to say the Vamo is the best deal out there and you get not just VV but also VW and three battery options 1-18650,1-18350, 2-18350's,

When I switched to my first VV from ego I went with a MyGO mini and other several budget VV mods. After spending a couple hundred dollars on a bunch of low budget VV mods I finally purchased the Provari Mini. Only if if purchased the Provari as my first VV I would have saved sooo much money. It may be expensive , but believe me it will save you money in the long run.

Quick question., what's the difference between the twist and the spinner?
They're about the same thing except that the setting on a spinner is MUCH easier to read. Both work really well, but for that reason alone, I like my spinner better than my twist
