Portable Backup Mod Suggestions

Hey All,

Was on this forum quite some time ago and then went back to analogs (*hangs head*). Now back on the road to vaping bliss. Have a Lavatube V2 (ehhhh...its alright), probably going to pick up a Vamo as well for a backup/primary. However, both of these are pretty large. Looking for something that is better served for portability...would still like to have some VV and/or VW capability if possible...just looking for less bulk. Primarily on carto tanks right now, but will probably give some of the clearos a shot in the near future. Any suggestions?

I did see that one previously, not sure how I feel about the box-like models. That and why I would use my vape to charge my phone is beyond me. I'd rather my phone died than my vape.

IMO if you can't use your back up PV for hammer and still vape it, it isn't a reliable back up.

My choice two years ago for a small back up was the Mako, if I was going to do it today I would get the Precise Simplicity.

The smaller mechanical mods are definitely the most sturdy and reliable. The precise plus is a beautifully built mechanical mod, however it is pricey as a 'backup' device to a VAMO. That being said, I second the iTaste MVP, simply being that you can charge it anywhere with a USB cord.

The precise is very cool, but not exactly what I am looking for. The MVP is growing on me though a little. What about the mods that have variable sizes depending on the battery combination you use. Any of those worthwhile?

Sure, well the VAMO itself can use a 18350 or a 18650 depending on whether the extension is used.

A lot of mechanical mods now are telescopic, meaning that the body can shorten or lengthen based on it's threading without having to physically remove a section of the body.

A VAMO running a 18350 battery is actually quite small and compact, I would say (just off the top of my head looking at mine right now) at about 5 inches?

Granted, you will trade off size for battery life in the VAMO.

That's why I'm not much of a fan of the MVP. Not really into box mods. I agree with the phone charger function as well. Waste of vaping battery life. But the again you don't HAVE to use it.

The iTaste SVD or Sigelei telescope v3 are good PVs that can run in 18350 mode as well as 18650.
