Looking for flavor suggestions

After a lifetime of curries and hot sauces and cigarettes (oh my!), my taste buds are hard to please. I've already wasted money on flavors that didn't flavor so much as hint. I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and has flavor recommends. I had no problem tasting the flavors from the shys...wait, that may be too harsh. No, I've counted to 10, it's still appropriate, the shyster mall boutique that sold me my first highly expensive foray into the vaping world.

Now, I'm using an ego with LR cartomizers. The cartridges tended to leak, and the attys were finicky, dripping seemed to make no difference. This has been my experience so far:

JC Arctic Menthol (100% PG, 24 Nic): Not so much arctic. More like an autumn breeze. Boring and tasteless.
Basic Black Ice (100% VG, 26 Nic): Lovely aroma in the bottle. Heavy menthol. Tastes like...vapor with a light licorice smell. As in I get the ice, but it's not black, more light grey.:glare:
Good Prophets Smooth Cuban (50/50 VG/PG, 24 Nic): Pleasant, slightly sweet. For some reason the flavor is stronger on the exhale.
Good Prophets Hot Cinnamon (50/50 VG/PG, 24 Nic): So far a good flavor. Sweet, hot. Odd flavor on the exhale. Combined with Smooth Cuban, they compliment each other. But Cinnamon wears on the tongue after a bit, you know?
Kick-Bass OMG (60/40 VG/PG, 24 Nic): This is like the aftertaste of a hot chocolate/coffee mix. Not strong, but recognizable.
Kick-Bass Jamaican Ginger Mint (60/40 VG/PG, 24 Nic): I can taste the mint, where is the ginger? Ginger is not a subtle flavor.
Kick-Bass Spiced Cider (60/40 VG/PG, 24 Nic): Very nice. It's got an orangey, fruity aroma that fills the senses.:p

So, from what I can conclude, I can taste spicy, sweet, and menthol. The last easily overwhelming anything else.

So, is it me and my brutalized tastebuds, or what? Either way, does anyone who isn't spamming have any input on things I should try?

If you haven't been vaping for very long your taste buds may need some time to recover. It should only take a couple of weeks at most. In the meantime, you aren't going to be able to get much taste from your juice. Probably the reason you could taste the juice from the mall guy is because his juice has been sitting around for who knows how long and it's had time enough to steep (maybe even more than enough.) Steeping (also known as "aging") allows the flavors to develop.

Flavor is also very subjective and what tastes good to one person you might find lacking or absolutely horrendous.

Hey Raven,

I completely understand what you mean. The first few times I got ahold of some different juice's I thought I was missing the point. I've read and read and read about all these different vaporites going on and on about how delicious different juice was. I simply didn't get it.
Then I made a small order from Ms. T's. To say I was taken aback is quite an understatement. I finally got it. The flavors were all amazing. Vapor production, TH (on certain ones) etc. it was heaven.:p
If you've only been in the vaping scene for a short while, relax. You, as well as every single other person who has either tried vaping or is going to try vaping, will have to order around and find your dream supplier.
An individual's sense of taste is VERY subjective. What is ambrosia to one person could taste like sweaty old feremented socks to another.
Keep asking questions and read the e-juice review forum. Keeping in mind my previous statement.

Although, for me personally I cannot recommend Ms. T's highly enough...matter of fact I just ordered over $100 worth of juice from her:laugh:
