I apparently have a short somewhere in an EHPRO Valkyrie clone switch. The coils only glow a dull red when fired (bare of wick, of course). I have to press very hard on the switch to get them to do that. And tonight, I could feel the switch get warmer as I was playing with it. I've asked the vendor I purchased it from if they had any ideas, but I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm looking for suggestions as to what I should do in terms of determining if, in fact, there is a short and how I can locate it. I've torn the switch down and put it back together and haven't noticed anything unusual.

Also, is there a forum or other hangout where vapers can go to discuss issues they are having with their mods or devices not working properly, aside from posting on ECF? I guess I'm looking for an "interactive" site or group where real-time conversations can discuss the issues or problems. Anything like that out there?

Thanks for you help.

I don't have a Valkyrie clone but I'm pretty comfortable around mechanical mods. I did a bit of searching and found a couple of links I thought might help. A fix for an original Valkyrie switch and a review and a switch fix for the EHPRO Valkyrie that starts at the 14 minute mark.

What you've got is high resistance between two switch contact surfaces. Hope the videos help.
