I am the proud new owner of a PS Pass thru and it works awesome plugged into my 2 amp AC to USB wall unit. But I really want to use this PT in the car. Has anyone found a cigarette lighter USB adapter that is rated at 1 1/2 or 2 amps? The units I have are all rated at 1/2 amp or 750 ma. They won't even start the PT up! I know someone has to have tackled this issue.

I think you could use one of these and just run it mobile

There are a few people using them for MODS.
It shows 0.6 amps @ 5v. Do we really think the PT pulls 1 - 2 amps out of your computer panel? Dunno, just asking..

That actually looks like an amazing deal for a portable USB charging unit... I haven't yet to see any cheaper than that, and that one looks really stylish... I'm considering ordering one now.. I think 19$ is a steal... can anyone link me to a cheaper reliable portable charging unit that puts out 5v with a current of 2200mAH?

Edit: I just found this one for sale as well on ebay.. could you guys who know more about batteries tell me if it's better?

I don't know if it's better. It's rated at a little higher mah.
I've seen this one in a couple of variable voltage mods.

22 - 2800 ma should run the PT for a while. I can run the Prodigy all day on a 2200mah 18650.

edit: Just found this one it's 10,000mah.
This should run the PT for a while. Made to run a Wii

I like these from Belkin, it's flush with the socket.

Walrus - I have that unit made bu a diff mfg, and it's nice the way it's flush. Unfortunately it won't work with the PS pass thru. mine caps out at 850ma. The Belkin will go 1a but it's still not enough. When I try to use it with the PS it just trips out on the protection circuit. I use it for my Janty Stick USB though.

I use the Kensington Power Pack when I am in the Jeep. My cigarette adapter is only 500ma and wont run the pass through. But I can plug in the Kensington and it will keep it charged while I am vaping through the Kensington. I don't know if the Best Buy near you would have any of those left. They went on clearance sale several weeks ago for $14.95.

DealExtreme: $18.96 10000mAh Rechargeable External Power Pack for NDS/PSP/Cell Phone/MP3

That is the exact same model as the one you found on eBay, only it's black and DX offers free shipping.. so a better deal IMO. BUT.. after reading the reviews, it is most definitely not 10,000mAH. I would not trust plugging anything pricey into a product who's manufacturer is not above lying about the specs.
