Looking for information on E-Cigarette

Good day everyone,
I am new to this site and to the process. I will purchase my new e-Cigarette this Saturday to switch from Cigarette to E- Cigarette.
I had some concerns or questions about rumours that has been flowing around… I heard that the E-Cigarette can sometimes explode, cause from malfunctions.

Is this true?

I know since the beginning, the evolution of e-Cigarette has improve dramatically and way better then the previous models that had some complications.

I am just looking for the Goods, Bads and Uglies of the new E-Cigarette. I like to read a lot about the things that I will be eventually using but it seems that there is no information on the complicated issues that may occur… Not health wise but technicality of the E-Cigarette.

Thank you so much,

smok-ey!! :)

A battery can vent and explode with pressure, yes, but with any battery you'd be starting out with, there will be a cap that isn't completely locked down at the end of the battery. So just in case the battery vents, the cap will pop off, preventing pressurized expansion/exploding.

You may want to go ahead and start out with a variable voltage battery. They are really cheap in the form of ego-C or spinners. I can't use a non-variable voltage for a lot of my liquid. A lot of flavors do require different temperatures to reach their full potential/sweet spot. With a variable voltage battery you can also choose the resistance of your coil. Your resistance will determine the battery operating duration, and more importantly, it will determine the warmth of your vape. The higher your resistance you go, the cooler it gets. I use 2 Ohm cartomizers. I recommend clearomizers and dripping atomizers to new users. Clearomizers are just atomizers inside of a tank with wicks. They're easier to start out with when you want to use a tank. Just be mindful that the majority of them are polycarbonate, and they will crack or melt with citrusy and cinnamon flavors. Drip atomizers are great for anyone.. You can try several liquids with them, and a lot of people only use dripping for their delivery method.

The technical things that come up with e-cigs are things like threads being weak/malleable. When you look into the more advanced things, that is one of the most important things to research. A lot of batteries like egos and some of the APV's can have their firing pin pushed down a little bit from over tightening the atomizer on to the threads. When this happens, it's easy to fix until it gets pressed too far down to the point of no return. You can just wiggle it up with a tooth pick or something, and just be mindful to not over tighten your atomizer. If your firing pin is too low, there isn't a good connection for the atomizer to get electricity from. It will result in weak hits, no hits, or even bad short circuits.

The goods are self-explanatory, and the real positives have to be experienced.. :) Welcome! You're in a good place.

As long as you follow certain specified precautions there's a VERY small/ minute chance you'll have any issues.
The link supplied above has some excellent info. Here are a few suggestions you should follow:
Do not charge batteries unattended.
Do not overcharge batteries.
Buy quality batteries.

well i was reading an article about that and the cases of batteries exploting has been only with MODs they seem to be not safe :(

Mods are only dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Luckily, if you choose to upgrade, at some point, you're in the right place to learn about safety.

Welcome to ECF! You are smart to research first and see you have some good resources and advice already.

Just a FYI, if you are not aware, there is a Canada forum here. You need to have five posts and then wait for the computer to update--25 after the hour I believe--before you can post in there.

Canada Forum

ETA: I posted the Canada Forum because of the restrictions you guys have up there and just FYI, not to discourage you from posting here. :)
