lol.....done with the home improvement reference:

I have an itaste mvp. I think I should get a mod or something that has more in between charge power, something that *maybe* I can drip off of? (I would def need a how-to on that) and ultimately a place where I can get certain parts at a reasonable price. I'm a beginner, so I'm not looking for anything at a ridiculous price, or could prove to be complicated to work with.

so,

a mod, maybe
a tank

and whatever else that would be good with these? I prefer a tank that has the coils in the bottom, rather than the ones that hang in the middle of the tank. I do also want to experiment with dripping....so I shall take all suggestions!

I would suggest an IVP2 50w mod as it is affordable and reliable and if you want to experiment with dripping it would be perfect if you get a simple 3 post RDA like a Tug boat, Patriot or similar to start of with. Also look into the Eleaf Istick, 20w variable mod in a tiny package with a long battery life.
As for a tank, if you just want to replace coils and not build them the maybe an Aspire Nautilus with BVC coil heads or a Silo tank with Aspire BVC heads?

There is an awful lot of choice out there for you! :)

awesome, thanks for the advice! Do you know of a site that would sell these things at a decent price? :)
You are most welcome :)
For drippers and tanks, coils etc have a look at FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics They are a Chinese company so shipping can take a while but they are very competitively priced and have very good customer service and support from my experience.

I am from the United Kingdom so I am not the best person to advise on vendors state side, but I ordered my IPV2 from elev8vape who are based in NY if I am not mistaken.

For the Istick, there is a thread on here in the APV section discussing it with lots of posts about where to buy and even discount codes, well worth checking out!

Any more questions please feel free to ask. :)

Paloma, "decent price" is a bit of an issue sometimes... because if you get a really low price often you get bad quality clones instead of good ones.

My suggestion, look at the ECF forum suppliers listings;
Forum Suppliers

Most give some sort of coupon code to use for ECF members, and have an invested interest in keeping you happy and ecf going.

Before buying an RDA, familarize yourself with ohm's law, buy a multimeter, and maybe watch a few rebuilding videos for the drippers you think you might want to buy.
